Daniel Nermark is to ride for Wolves in Peter's testimonial. James Grieves is riding for Glasgow, and Olly Allen and Chris Neath will be at the Swindon Press and Practice Day. (Thanks to Mark Sawbridge).
From this week's Speedway Star - Wolves are to have a Civic Reception with the mayor, Robert Hart on March 12th to honour their Championship win last season.
Our away match at Trelawny in the League Cup is on Tuesday 8th April (according to Trelawny). Our match at Somerset is on Friday 11th July.
Cubs News - Graham Jones will be Rider Coach and number one. 18 year old Rob Finlow has signed on a full transfer from Newport. 17 year old Steven Braidford has signed on a full contract. Local lads Lawrence Needs (who has bought a bike from David Howe) and Scott Blackwell are also in the team. Luke Priest, who rode for the Cubs last season has signed for Sheffield (where he also rode last year).
We will stage 12 home matches, the first being on Easter Tuesday, April 22nd.
Cheers, Mark.

Good night for the Somerset match Disappointed about the Trelawny one though It seems a bit to early in the season, I was looking forward to a nice summer 's outing to Cornwall and a visit to the Motor Parc to finish off the day. Cornwall in April.....

However the point of this posting is that it's a great pity the other 3 mentioned riders won't be their . I'm not saying they should have cancelled there PL engagements, it's that PK's testimonial would have been a great pressure free chance for the guys to get some proper race practice and test set ups around the Green. I know we have the practice day beforehand but there is nothing like getting out there in a proper competitive race. I take it as Magnus wasn't mentioned MM2 that he will be donning his WOLVES race jacket on the 16th?? ;D

Yes, Magnus will definitely ride as one of the big selling points of the meeting is having the three Karlsson brothers.
It's a pity about the reserves being missing. As stated above, the problem was that Swindon have an all day event for the Press and Practice, with a Talk In event in the evening with all the riders. I understand that Chris Neath got some critiscism from some of the Swindon fans for missing it last year (for Ronnie's meeting) - if you read between the lines of last week's piece in the Swindon section of the Speedway Star. I would guess that they don't want to rock the boat too much by missing this year's as well... which I can understand.
Daniel is an excellent replacement though, and it will be great to see him in a Wolves racejacket again - hopefully to erase some of the memories of the last time he did so... Good also that there appear to be no hard feelings between Dan and the Wolves management... hopefully he'll be back in the side in 2004.
Hope to see some of you at the Talk In tonight... come over and say "Hi" to myself or Lawt if you get the chance...
Cheers, Mark.

To be fair Rich Wolves fans can't expect James Grieves to miss his first home match of the season for PK's testimonial. He rode for Wolves for a couple of seasons so I don't think he will have forgotten too much about the place ;D Magnus will be there as already mentioned

I agree James should be at Edinburgh that day, what I am saying is he and the 2 Swindon lads will miss the chance of a competitive meeting round Monmore without the pressures of a league match.

Why why didnt we just sign a full time rider, i have a feeling this doubling up as per this years rules will be a farce. Especially if swindon do well in the cup.

the reason why the trelawny date is in april is because the swedish league starts soon after.. Can't see your reasoning behind that as I dont think PK or MM will be used in the BLC
