Ronnie Correy..............0.0.0..............0
Adam Skornicki.............1*.2.2.3.3.3.....14+1
Steve Johnston........1.2.1*2*1*.....7+3

Krysztof Pecyna.......1.0.1.ef.....2
A good forumite group had congregated in glorious sunshine on the grassy bank on the back straight to see if the Wolves could open their away win account. Things got off to a bad start when after the parade it was announced Mikael had withdrawn from the meeting due to a high temperature and a possible viral infection. (It was noted that Mikael had been seen in the pits looking pale and very quiet so it was obvious he wasnt himself) Get well soon Mikey . This meant rider replacement was in operation with all remaining wolves eligable for a ride.
Jonno won the toss and took 1 and 3
HT 1 Davidsson,Adams,JOHNSTON,CORREY......5-1--5-1--66.58
Both Wolves totally missed the gate and the outcome was enivitable from the first turn onwards. An easy 5-1.
AN ONINOUS START
HT 2 KARLSSON,Alden,PECYNA,Korneliussen FX....2-4--7-5--68.30
The first running saw slide off on the first bend only to lie on the track while his teammate led the race . A good gate from magnus in the rerun took him to the win with Krys a distant 3rd.
HT 3 Gjedde,JOHNSTON,SKORNICKI,Tresarrieu....3-3--10-8--67.30
Wolves gated but a burst round the boards took Gjedde past Adam on the 4th bend, Jonno looked set to keep the Dane at bay until a mistake entering the last lap gave Gjedde the chance to dive under for the win.
HT 4 Richardson,LINDGREN,Korneliussen,PECYNA..4-2--14-10--66.30
Another poor start from the Wolves looked like giving swindon another 5-1 until Kornyman, seemed to slow entering the last lap giving Freddie the chance to snatch second place.
HT 5 Gjedde,SKORNICKI,Tresarrieu,CORREY..4-2--18-12--67.30
Adam led until Gjedde again found plenty of drive out wide on turn 4 to round the Pole ending lap 2 and gain his second win. Ronnie very dissapointing at the back
Ht 6 Adams,LINDGREN,KARLSSON,Davidsson...3-3--21-15--66.68
again the robins gated but a good first bend saw magnus pass Davidsson who then had Freddie swoop around him before the first lap was completed. Magnus made a big mistake on turn 2 on the last lap scraping the fence in the process but he was well clear for Davidsson to capitalise. Adams winning by a country mile.
HT 7 Richardson,SKORNICKI,JOHNSTON,Alden..3-3-24-18--66.43
Adam led and kept Richardson at bay until the first corner on the last lap when the Brit cut back under Adam. Jonno a distant but comfortable 3rd.
Ht 8 KARLSSON,Davidsson,PECYNA,Korneliussen..2-4--26-22--67.59
Magnus replaced Ronnie and gated for an easy win with all the riders well spread out.
HT 9 Gjedde,LINDGREN,Tresarrieu,KARLSSON..4-2--30-24--66.93
A poor gate again from the Wolves saw the Robins lead again and with Freddie and Magnus impeding each other on turn 4 all seemed lost. Freddie chased and passed Tres on lap 3 but Gjedde gained an easy victory and increase the Robins lead back up to 6
HT 10 SKORNICKI,JOHNSTON,Davidsson,Adams EF..1-5--31-29--67.36
Adams made the gate but Adam rode a brilliant first bend to blast past Adams down the back straight. The shock of which knocked Adams off his armchair and retire on the 3rd bend. Jonno although pressurised by Davidsson never looked like letting the maximum slip away.
HT 11 Alden,LINDGREN,Richardson,Correy..4-2--35-31--66.89
Freddie again missed the start and gave chase passing richardson around the fence on turn 4. Alden though rode a good race and never gave Freddie the chance to challenge with Richardson in close persiut. Ronnie ended a poor night again well tailed off.
HT 12 SKORNICKI,Tresarrieu,KARLSSON,Korneliussen ef..2-4--37-35--68.24
This race was decided from the gate with Tres chasing Adam all the way.
HT 13 Richardson,Adams,LINDGREN,PECYNA..5-1--42-36--66.55
Krys was given the thankless R/R. Again both Wolves found their gating skill deserted them as Leigh/Lee gained a crucial 5-1
Ht 14 Gjedde,KARLSSON,JOHNSTON,Alden..3-3--45-39--67.89
Gjedde gated to record his 4th win and secure the points. Jonno and Magnus team rode to keep Alden at bay and a share of the points.
HT 15 Swindon won the toss and took 1 +3
SKORNICKI,Gjedde,Adams,LINDGREN..3-3--48-42--
Adams again made the gate but yet again he had to watch a breathtaking first corner from Adam. Both Robins chased with Adams on the inner and Gjedde against the fence only for Adam to block every move. Finally Gjedde took up the chase but adam was not to be denied and he read Gjedde's every move to record I would imagine his best ever win.
After a victory lap the forumites were treated to a 'double cream chocolate covered donut with sprinkles.
' ( Thanks Lupus ).
So despite a valiant effort again the lads came up just short. However to hold a confident Robins team with their 3 top men in good form to 6 points with no tactical rides and no tacticals was a brilliant achievement.
FIVE STAR RATINGS
Weather***** A glorious evening. 27 degrees
Track ***** Well watered with plenty of dirt made for good racing from the start.
Attendance **** A good Wolves following. Difficult to judge as spread out all round stadium.
Wolves performance **** Couldnt have tried any harder after the news of losing Mikael
Entertainment **** Close all the way through kept the interest for all
Man of the Match This must be the easiest one ever take a bow ADAM SKORNICKI
RIDER RATINGS
Ronnie Correy * Very poor from the rocket. He was well under power all night.
Adam Skornicki***** AWESOME to beat Adams twice around his home track and also beating Gjedde. Must rate as one of his best ever meetings as a Wolf
Steve Johnston*** Unspectacular but kept picking up the points beating the lower order all night.
Freddie Lindgren ** Not his usual self from the tapes left him chasing all night.Scored well but only managed to beat the Robins' top 3 once
Magnus Karlsson**** Apart from Adam our only heat winner. another solid score from reserve
Krysztof Pecyna** Another whos gating skills deserted him. tried 100% but didnt have the power.
Thanks to all for an entertaining evening both on and off the track and we should now be able to claim 3 points from the home leg later in the season.
Cheers
Rich
