Heat 12: Manchester, ermolenko, johnston, neath. 2-4 / 44-28--- Neath lead from the gate for 2 laps, sam came under manchester and took neath out allowing johnston thru, manchester beating sam. Rich says neath very un-lucky in this heat.-------------------------------------------------- Heat 13: max,karlsson,larsen(t/s),lyons. 5-1 / 49-29-------- from the gate, easy wolves win.

Great result, well done lads. Pleased for Sam, wish I could have seen heat 15. Many thanks as usual for updates. I'm off to Trelawney tomorrow to see King's Lynn. Wonder if Terry Betts is riding? ;D

Hi Guys, thanks for doing the updates!
I'm glad you can report better news, even though (as has been pointed out) the oppostition is hardly the strongest.
Times certainly do change. They had a very strong line-up when I first started going to the green (Collins, Morton, Pusey, Wilkinson, etc.) and would usually leave with the league points. Plus, I don't remember beating them even once at Hyde Road.
It must be very disheartening for their fans. I have to say "rather them than us"... We have had to deal with many uncompetitive teams over the years. The saddening things is, this can't be good for the future of the sport we all love.
There has been much disussion of the lack of professionalism in speedway; unfortunately, that's been the case for years! I know the Grand Prix series has had a detrimental effect on domestic competition in England, but I have to give credit to Benfield for taking a crack at it. Let's face it, it was easy for them to step in and do a much better job of presentation.
I can feel a huge 'rant' coming on, so I'm going to stop there.
Any road up, it's nice to see the lads win one! And thanks again for the updates!
UTW
Andrew :-)

A big well done to all the boys tonight, they all looked something like theirselves.................but a particular mention for Sam. With all the stick he's taken lately it was great to see his effort and commitment rewarded with a good score and some fabulous passing.............lets hope it's the first of many, and Sam can bow out the way he deserves.

Great result and meeting last night.Good to see quite a solid performance from the top five at last!!! SAM-You were vintage!!! ;D ;D It is quite worrying to see the state of a Belle Vue team in such turmoil though.Once such a great team in speedway history, what the hell went wrong? (answers on a postcard,if you can find one big enough, to Reggie Perrin, or is that John?)
