Fun and games at Poole as well. 15-15 after 5. Ferjan spitting his dummy out after getting a hard first turn from Leigh Adams in a rerun after Ferjan had caused a first turn incident.

I can't believe, looking at our line-up, that this is still not a big wind-up

Huge 8-1 in 7. Freddie goes third to first on last turn with David Howe doing a good impression of George Hunter.*
* My interpretation of mark's description. George was master of stopping on the last turn, stitching up the opposition so our other rider could come through.

I remember those blue and white leathers, left leg out at 90 degrees, and the back wheel so far out that no-one could even think of getting past..............NURSE

Blue & White? I'm sure "8" will remember George Hunter's brown and black ones, or even the plain black ones...I know I do
He let me watch him cleaning his bikes outside his house, one day...he was one of my fave hard riders

Heat 9. To be rerun.
The potted version: Pedersen puts Freddie in the fence. A fight involving just about everyone takes place on the track, moves on to the dog track and into the pits.
The ref, who Lawt considers to be a frequent onanist, says all four riders.

Blue and White. all black, gold and white. Great rider. The one thing he never did in his career: beat Barry Briggs. Or visit Devon.

Oh I agree - I remember the blue & white also; but I was thinking about the blue/brown ones - I remember his chain whipping off on the final bend of a match (1976?) against (Exeter?) and giving him a septic wound! He still rode (I think) in the next match, or did he? Jeez, where did my memory go?
