Thanks to Andrew who did a bostin' job on the updates tonight. Hard to believe I can stand at the Green relaying results to a Wolves fan in Michigan on a line that was far clearer than the usual line to stevebrum! Thanks again to Andrew and to JFB for the very kind loan of his phone. 12.8p per minute to American eh? Pretty good. ;D Just after I'd said goodbye to Andrew then SamuelE came over to say "Hi". He's over here on business this week and took the opportunity of a trip to the Green. No wonder it was so quiet on the discussion thread. We still had over 900 hits on the updates page tonight so there were plenty of folks following.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the plaudits... I was honoured to do it! It was a wonderful experience for me; I felt like I was in on all the action. Kinda bittersweet in a way... I REALLY miss Monday nights at The Green. Hearing the roar of speedway bikes, the crowd, and the dulcet tones of MM2 (I just DON'T hear an accent like that in these parts )... I could 'almost' smell the methanol! We must have had a great connection, that's the LOUDEST call I've ever experienced. I was holding the phone about six inches from my ear. Even my co-workers were wondering what all the racket was. I have a new found respect for the 'usual suspects' on the update team; you have to have your wits about ya! I'm relieved the discussion thread was quiet; I'm not sure I could've handled the usual banter (remember, I was still at work... Fortunately, the boss was in a meeting). It was nice to see the thread being viewed though. I hope you enjoyed the meeting, Steve... You too, SamuelE! If, in the unlikely event all the planets line up in the same way in the future and no one can do the updates, I'd be HAPPY to step-in and do my part! Oh, thanks for inquiring about my health, Ruth... I'm feeling much better now thanks! I hope you are feeling better yourself. That's all for now... Cheers! Andrew UTW

Andrew, There aren't many accents like mine around these parts either! An amazing experience, I still can't believe we actually did it. I was most concerned that you'd get fired for taking so many calls from some mad English guy! ;D

Andrew:
Fantastic job on Monday - thanks very much. It was a shame there were not more participants in the discussion but the viewers were certainly there and I am sure they appreciated your efforts and those of MM2. Also, thanks to the Pie Family (I almost wrote Partridge Family) for the loan once more of a phone - PiePhone2 this time I think!
I had a chance to view the updates from afar last week and realise how much nearer it brings you to the action. Once again thanks very much.
