10 point defeat ........... in the great scheme of things not a bad result as most of us would have accepted that at the start of the meeting Thanks to '8' and the crew at Blunsdon for the updates

Frustration here, as many of my winter line-ups featured Seb Ulamek. He seems to have started the season off very well (I always rated him, apart from being injury-prone) and could be a real coup for Swindon. He's done well tonight. ....and he can't ride Monmore to save his life. Or should that be couldn't. We'll see monday.

'We've mugged 'em!' was Lawt's summing up of heat 15. PK gates and disappears and FREDDIE rides four fantastic laps with great skill and determination to keep out Adams. The gating tart is nowhere.
Told you we'd get 40.
The team do a lap of honour for the fans (ours) and a 10 point deficit is, considering the score after 4 heats, a result.
More 5-1s on monday please.
Many thanks to Lawt for phoning through: the last call was a lot more positive than the first!
Thanks for the company and one piece of trivia for Stevebrum: Gary Numan and I were born within minutes of each other. 8 March 1958.
Night all.

well in the cold light of day a 10 point defeat is respectable - however the bigger picture is we never looked likely to challenge. hope we can turn them over on monday then

Many thanks to '8' for passing on the news which definitely got better as the evening got colder.
At the start we decided that a ten point losing margin would be acceptable. When heat fifteen had finished it took us all a moment or two to realise we had achieved that target! We'll get the bonus on Monday.
Time for bed now - night night!
