I was thinking... Alice symbolizes continuously expanding and contracting Conscience. Like Alice, we all feel sometimes big, sometimes little in front of people and facts, and we have to face conflicting thoughts, the Tweedledums and Tweedledees of our restless mind. I knew it had to have a multi-level, symbiotic meaning, relating to the genesis of the book, whilst luxuriating in the catharsis of the birth of the characters. The sudden, emotional breakdown or climax that results from conflict, that constitutes overwhelming feelings of great pity, sorrow, laughter or any extreme change in emotion that lead to the renewal, restoration and revitalization for living, can often cause one to delve deep into the canyons of the mind for meaning, and the quest to restore inner peace. I preferred your mime.

Heat 15: Nicholls, Schlein, P Karlsson, Lindgren (fell), 63.2. 5-1, 45-45, 90-88.
We've done it again! Wolves gated with Freddie leading from PK until Nicholls passed PK going to lap three. Going into the very last turn of the match Freddie reared, spun and fell allowing Nicholls through to win. PK had to virtually stop to avoid Freddie, and Schlein - who was nowhere for the whole race - says "Thanks very much" and goes round for second. Just about sums up our season!
Errr, quite.

**** **** ****!
(and those aren't the riders' star ratings!)
That result really does sum up this season, doesn't it?
Oh well, thanks for watching anyway, and many thanks to JFB for phoning in the results tonight.

What more can we say? Great job Pieman and thanks to JFB for the phonecalls. Does that mean JFB has completed the season then? 100% attendance?

We lost this because we gave up and threw in the towel not tonight - on monday PK falls in heat 15 and decides to pull out rather than get a single point Magnus has just 4 rides despite being at reserve and by far the most impressive Wolves rider on the night Thats 2 points thrown away which have cost us tonight together with that 1-5 that went 5-1 in the space of a few seconds. Oh well . . . as PA will say . . . just like ourt play-off chances lost at the very very end

And now the Oscar speech:
Thank you all for the updates, commentary, witticisms and other chaff, not just tonight but throughout the season. Thanks Mr Pie for updates (I'm glad somebody was able to do it). Thanks to all other updaters (especially RoA for his superb winning streak) and phone callers. Thanks CVS for running the show (with the exception of the last couple of weeks) and for maintaining high standards in the track and the team. Thanks Mr PA for your pre-match motivation today, otherwise we might have had a morale boosting closer v the Fleas. Well done to Maggie for two top meetings to end the season. Thanks to MM2 and Lawt (MM1?) for DVDs this year, enabling me to keep in touch, and watch the highs and lows. And most of all thanks to all the contributors to this forum that make it, consistently, one of the highlights of my day.

Oh b*gger, I missed it It never occurred to me that anyone would be bothered to do updates. I should have known that the troups would rally round and end the season with an updates finale. Having said that, the conversation was far too intellectual for me and I had already had a Cornish pasty delivered by my dear brother, all the way from Falmouth and apple pie and cream baked by myself and Kate. I could have shared... Oh well...............off to bed said Zebedee

Just got back off the boat.... Happy we didn't throw away an important fixture! What to do with Magnus? Can he ride like he has every week? Another season over and now begins the long cold months of speculation, counter speculation, intrigue and plotting. And that's just TNT's posts.
