we were 4th start of the week in my opinion we will make the play offs. pardon me for being a little optmistic. I agree with you. David's home form (+ the 3 heatleaders) will do it for us. I just wish we could put up better showings away from home (Swindon, Reading etc) on a more consistent basis, otherwise it will only be the playoffs, no more I can't see it happening. There will be a couple of home meetings when the track is slick and we will get turned over. Coventry are likely to beat us regardless of conditions. What have we done so far this year? Struggled to beat Lakeside at home. And beat a very weakened, and already poor Belle Vue team home and away. We would very likely have lost the away match had they had their team, and the home match would have been no formality either. The one good match we had was Swindon, and I think that was more them riding poorly than us being that good. We are not going to touch Coventry, Reading or Swindon over the course of the season and I think we will find it hard to stay ahead of Peterborough too. We are lucky in that there are several very poor teams in the league.

Taken from Davids website - David scored 3 points in two completed rides at Reading on 13.04.07. David was suffering from a virus which sapped his strength and made him physically sick during the meeting. theres the answer then. get well soon David.

Thanks for that Steve, that certainly explains it.
I really think these things should be communicated better to the crowd. If David was so ill that he couldn't take his rides, this could have been announced, which would at least protect these guys from unnecessary criticism or speculation.
Not looking good for tonight is it? Freddie injured, David and possibly PK ill...
