We're rock bottom of the league and are becoming laughing stocks. As a Wolves fan, this is the piece that concerns me most...our performances are becoming embarrassing. While tonight's team was not the strongest, and we were unlucky to lose NKI, 30 points at one of the weaker teams in the league is a shocking performance. That Joe Haines (well done!) and Nicolai score more than half of them just makes it worse. And PA had that down as an away win...does he think we are all idiots (rhetorical question)?

Of course you can support him. There is nothing wrong with that.
What annoys people is when you claim that others are wrong for not showing the same level of 'support'.
99% of Wolves fans will give all the team a cheer on parade at the start of the meeting, but don't expect them to be cheered when they reel off last place after last place.
As regards replacing him (and others) or not, it was reported that the management said at the talk-in there would be further changes to the team if the need arose.
Or was that just pie in the sky stuff as much of it seems to have been.

i can support him INDIVIDUALLY cant i?? am i allowed??? I still stood by him when he was at Oxford. But stood on the terraces at wolves screaming for my beloved team. I really give up on here. You have to justify everything on here. Anyway - up the wolves and heres to 2009. You shouldn't get so wound up about what people say steve

We can all stick by our favorite rider. Superguest did with Magnus, I did with the Spoon. Steve would not gripe if David was replaced, but seeing as he is his favorite rider he is going to cut him more slack (and be aware of the days when he was doing brilliantly - rider of the year '07) more than the rest of us.
That I think summarizes it all!

Thank you for the updates Steve and for the text service of PM. Sadly was not the best of nights but still i feel we getting some postives from the meetings of late. klindt amazing again and only improving, Haines 4 points is bril for a young lad let alone a lad on his EL debut and also Chris Kerr from what i read showing real battle and if he to be our asset i wouldnt say no to someone who dont give up. Negatives as ever but we can't change it so lets just roll on to our next meeting and hope for more postives in a dismal season which can be used to effect in 09, Passing by picking on certain riders now the team just is not good enough as proven tonight with Fred having an off night

Which it ALWAYS is!!!! i mean - ive sat here all evening because im SO disloyal!!! I get wound up when im questioned as anyone would.

You shouldn't get so wound up about what people say steve i think any of us would if there loyalty to the TEAM was constantly questioned! I don't think anyone questions your loyalty to the TEAM, SteveB, I certainly don't. In fact I think your commitment to this year's bunch of cowboys is quite remarkable (and even, in a strange way, to be admired - albeit maybe from afar ). I just think that performances of the team and the individual are dividing your loyalties, that's all...there's your support for the team (which is to be commended) and your loyalty to David as an individual rider (which is also fine and acceptable). The only problem is (which is not your problem, per se) is that David's current form is totally incompatible with the successful performance of the team (and I will add, again, that there are a couple of other riders who could be added to that list). By all means, be a fan of David, but even you must see that his performances are now consistently letting the TEAM down. After all, the TEAM will be the TEAM, long after he's gone, and no matter who is wearing the colours...eh?

There could be a silver lining to the whole Howe situation.
If he continues the rest of the year the way he is riding now his average is going to tumble quite a bit (lots of away matches. This would mean he could well be a very favourable option to actually retain for next year.
The problem then comes the year after!
David, to me is a rider similar to Adam Skornicki. Absolute bargain on an average of around 5 up to 5.5.. but if it creeps into the 6.5 range, don't go there, loan him out.

He could be a good #2 next year. A top 5 of Fred, NKI, AN Other, Tai, David with Nic and Joe at reserve might be decent. Remaining points TNT?

Well unfortunately Samuele `certain` people are always questioning my loyalty to the team and im quite sick of it to be honest. Im glad you see it perfectly the way it is for me. And i DO see performances of certain riders (david included) are letting the team down. Ive said for several months now that ill support any changes . However `certain` people are choosing to believe i DONT include david in those changes. Thats simply not true. Ill support ANY rider in wolves colours AND remain a fan of Davids. short and simple - end of. I shouted for Mr Hamill in his time with us despite reservations he was the wrong move bringing in. No rider is bigger than the TEAM - that goes without saying. Its just a shame some conveniently forget that about my support.
