I cannot remember exactly what but I think it was a protest over Schwartz (I think) changing his tyre before the match race. I do remember it ended up with BS drop kicking the Golden Helmet, and for the rest of its useful life, it was dented I think you will find that the Swindon promoter at the time was the guilty person who kicked the Golden helmet.....Boogaloo took exception to it!.....he laid his bike down at the starting gate and proceeded to give the said promoter a good-hiding..........which also caused quite a few scuffles in the crowd too..........them were thu days!!!! Of course, Boffy, you are right, it's gradually coming back - was it Bernard Crapper or was he still at Oxford? I was stood about 30 yds behind the starting gate, but it's all a senile haze

I would point out that was well over 23 years ago but that will just scare all of us. So I won't.
