Thanks for the banter and updates, and for the video link - great to watch the meeting live, for a change.

I really expected us to win this. I don't know what to say. I thought there was effort, but we were 2nd best yet again.

Thanks for the banter and updates, and for the video link - great to watch the meeting live, for a change. That same link is usually good for the Sky meeting each week, GPs too!

Nice close up of \Wolfie at the very start when it looked like the camera man was in the crowd. Do you think he was ther to make the crowd look bigger Racing was top class but 3 heatwinners all night at home

It's the only thing I can think to praise this season. Unlike the Sky "pundits" ;D ;D Three times during the meeting we were told Nicolai had scored 2 points, when he actually had been PAID for two points, and to top it all off, EASTBOURNE are fourth on 37 points

Yes he was in the crowd - I presume for just that reason - he walked up and down 3 times before deciding to film Tony and myself - it must have been desperation stakes - or our little group was the biggest one he could find - but at least Superguest and Beowulf got into the background too ;D ;D ;D

I sky+ this... had to smile at a couple of interviews which I thought summed things up. Jesper said it had been a tough time coming in part way through, he didn't have any bikes and the promoters borrowed some for him as there weren't many meetings left. Later Risager was delighted with his second place after running two lasts and said he'd been riding at Monmore for about 5 years but he'd never had a good meeting. In fact, he thought 2 points was as well as he'd ever done. What can you say?
Excellent racing but this is definitely one of the worst teams in the club's history (and yes, I know we've had some bad ones). People always point at some of the 1970's sides but look it up - we usually won at home and never finished bottom in that era. Finally, that crowd must have rivalled some of the attendances in 1981 as the lowest in the club's history. Sky try hard to hide the fact that nobody is watching these league matches but their earial view used for the scorechart showed the real picture. Shocking.
