Easy to be wise after the event I know but our Tactical Genius doesn't have a lot of luck does he I heard he's aiming for 3rd place tonight as it's the best position to win the cup from. X, you kill me ;D

We must remember that Swindon are THE team tipped for the top i guess. But was hoping for a better fight.
We just gotta blast em in the 2nd leg - well hopefully!!!!!
Thanks for the updates both

That's very disappointing. The injury clearly didn't help. No way back in this one.

Thanks guys, that will take some pulling back, especially with Swindon able to cherry pick those extra "tactical points" if they need them. For anyone who went, did Sticky look any better or is he looking like the modern day Jerzy Kowalski?

Sticky.. he had 2 promising laps in heat 2.. before messing up and being passed by stoj..
In at least 3, maybe 4 of his other rides he gave up on lap 3 and coasted round.. one race not even bothering with the last lap. First time we figured engine problems, but not so sure later on. I HOPE it was engine problems as the kid needs laps and giving up after 3 laps won't help him.
He was much better in his last ride but clearly still not on the pace. Machinery seems slow. I feel sorry for him, he seems well out of his depth at the moment and it can't be doing him or his confidence any good.

Strange sort of meeting really....... Adam looked quite quick without ever really dominating, Tai had an excellent win over Adams but another poor last. Freddie also mixed it without looking able to win a race, Sticky looked very poor again, Nic tried hard but apart from an excellent heat 8 ride didn't look like beating an opponent. A highlight off track was catching up with an ex rider from the 1970s - Tony Freegard - via Lefty and being able to chat over old times. At least we can now concentrate on the league !! Wolfie

It said in the paper that Sticky was riding injured and struggled to take 7 rides, maybe that's why he pulled up. Even so, doesn't look good does it? He always seemed a bizarre choice...
