I agree, Mr. V... Not sure on the strength of the opposition though. Still, you can only beat who you're up against. Hopefully, this will help in the confidence department for those who were among the points tonight.
Sowka is (obviously) a concern...

Good nights racing again at Monmore - long may it continue!
Must admit I'm a bit disappointed that they charged full price for this match, bearing in mind it was two sides without their best riders.
PONTUS - Picked up where he'd left off at Perry Barr last last Thursday. Good aggressive riding and looks quick. I think once he's settled down at home we can expect good things from him.
NICOLAI - Before the match I asked which Nicolai Klindt we'd see tonight, and it was a mixture really. Seemed to be unhappy with his set-ups during the meeting (more than once he didn't look ready at the start and was messing about too much). I do wonder whether he maybe damaged his bike in heat three when he put it down. There's a potential top class rider there, just needs to find the consistency.
TY - Looked a bit more like his old self compared to last Thursday, but still looks painfully slow and was under pressure even in the races he won.
TAI - Looks like a man on a mission this year. Only prevented a maximum by a couple of erratic corners in heat 15, but was breathing down Danny King's neck on the line.
LUKASZ - Still to be convinced that he's got it in him to perform in this league. He's got a lot of skill and looks good on the bike, but he simply has to sharpen up his gating.
RICKY - Rode really well again tonight. Felt was on the wrong end of some dirty riding from Auty in heat 8, but was really competitive.
Even allowing for Pedersen's absence, I must admit for all the hype, I haven't been that impressed with Birmingham on the two occasions I've seen them, and the scoreline probably didn't reflect how dominent we were.
