Well said 'DJ'
I'm tired of going to an away fixture with less than ten Wolves fans there... the product is too diluted - it's too close to water...
wake up promoters - smell the coffee... i want a team to support not double-uppers - nl fast trackers and no-show prima donners.
r/r at Lakeside was cheap and a disgrace.
Even Porky has Peter Yorke as a guest replacement - sad

There seems very little chance of making the play offs now as even the teams below us have ridden less home meetings and are not far behind us ..... apart from Leicester. As for the race format, it has been highlighted in many matches that it has many floors and is too unbalanced but the draft riders may have been a decent idea, there should have only been one in each team and in a better format you wouldn't see Premier League second strings scoring more than GP riders in most meetings. It is a worry that Birmingham have closed and if they do return next season it will most likely be back in the Premier League while Coventry and Eastbourne are under threat of the owners selling the sites for housing which in my opinion points to only one real solution ..... The TNT Master Plan

I think the home defeat to Coventry confirmed what we have suspected all season, that we wont quite be good enough to finish in the top 4. But what the Cov meeting highlighted more than anything is that there are 3 or 4 of the young reserves that are on a different planet to the majority and under this race format, its often the match winning factor. Who knows what will happen to the Elite League in 2015 given Birmingham's demise and question marks over Coventry and Eastbourne, but I dont think many believe the current race format has been a success. At the pre season talk in Peter Adams was raving about our reserves being two of the best in the league and being confident that they would carry us to many wins - so much for his judgement I know we have lost Ashley but he was hardly tearing up any trees. If the promotion have any ambition left for this season they simply have to reshuffle the team, dropping Proctor and Wells to bring in PK and a four pointer - maybe Fricke. However I am not very optimistic of such a move given their make do attitude of previous years. Wolfie

With an eye on next season it does look like there could be only a small number of tracks looking to be part of an Elite League, maybe as few as 6. That's too few for an Elite League as we know it so I would like to see a different approach.
If there are 6 teams have a league where the teams ride against each other home and away just once. They have all meetings on a fixed race night of Monday or Wednesday. And the points limit is set as high as the promoters can afford after agreeing a contract with sky or Eurosport to cover every meeting.
Then those 6 clubs also join a Premier League Division one to hold the bulk of fixtures on their normal race night

why not copy the swedes 8 teams in the league top 6 into play offs it works well for them up the averages at least one brit per team then have 8 teams into new league ( those who dont want elite plus top prem ) bring in rel and promtion stop double up riders. im sure more fans would rather have a team with 3 gp riders ie piraterna greg darcy holder than what we have now

The big problem you have in British Speedway is how the operations work. They are run by a committee that have financial interests in certain tracks where I think I'm right in saying Poland, Denmark and Sweden are run by people not connected to any club.
Also in Britain, although under the same banner, the Elite League and Premier League operate as two seperate business's so one votes for what they want and the others do the same. PL tracks don't want to move up so you are unlikely to get promotion as they are hapy to run at half the wages costs but still get pretty much the same revenue as the tracks in the EL.
Although the EL has got weaker over the years, the difference in the two leagues is still vast and PL tracks would have to employ two quality riders at least to compete on a more level playing field and in doing that you can add a few grand to the wages bill at least.
My TNT Plan has been around for years and with a few changes here and there over the years, I firmly believe it is the only way the sport in this country will continue if they are to see the likes of Woffinden, Ward, Iversen etc still appearing over here for regular racing.
This has been put into print and passed on to certain parties to review

I agree that if elite clubs joined the premier league they would have to do so on their terms and average levels. But if Coventry and Eastbourne go the same way as Birmingham then the elite league as we know it would be finished and what I have suggested is the only way we would see the top riders in this country. The TNT plan has no legs if there were only 6 elite clubs

But if Coventry and Eastbourne go the same way as Birmingham then the elite league as we know it would be finished and what I have suggested is the only way we would see the top riders in this country. The TNT plan has no legs if there were only 6 elite clubs The top names can't be afforded without the backing from the SKY coverage and they insist on EIGHT teams minimum Even if it was 6 or 8 teams, they would have to be on one fixed night which has to be a Monday to avoid other leagues and thats what Sky want. Then a track like Wolves can't afford to run once every two weeks and run only 5-7 meetings a season as they are contracted to a minimum number of meetings to be held at the stadium. Therefore if there was another league that Wolves and the others could ride in but not have the big names then they could hold 8 EL matches and 12 BL matches at least. Lets face it, last night v Lakeside apart from a few the riders on show were mainly Premier League standard, maybe as heat leaders but the crowd wasn't too bad considering there was no World Champion or PK on show and four of the 14 were National League riders. If the entrance fee wasn't as much, say £12 adult and £8 concessions, I think the crowds wouldn't be too bad for a meeting consisting of the following riders if it was a league match and the team were winning and near the top of the league. Jacob Thorssell, Ricky Wells, Nicolai Klindt, Max Fricke, Ashley Morris, Joe Jacobs and Tom Perry Lewis Bridger, Richard Lawson, Kim Nilsson, Leigh Lanham, Adam Ellis, Ben Morley and Max Clegg Then on a Monday, Wolves would ride in the EL with Tai and Freddie joining the top five with the reserves doubling down in the Premier League. You are never going to get star studded line ups in Britain for league matches so you have to look at other options like this if you still want to see top riders appearing over here

How about a September competition, maybe a mini league, between the bottom 4 teams in the Elite League. Be better than no speedway at all, and would give a bit better value to season ticket holders

It will be good to have three heat leaders and results should improve for the changes. Maybe we even stand a chance away from home at Cov and Leicester next week.
Ty certainly needed replacing as he has been disappointing this season and also looked poor in the TV match at Sheffield on Monday. But I think Ricky is a bit unlucky to lose his place. Just that we needed to make two changes to see any improvement.

There is about as much chance of us making the Play offs as Rihanna becoming Mrs Brum.

So will the olympique be the only meeting at monmore after the first Monday of September? Another high value year for season ticket holders if so
