Great to read in this week`s Speedway Star that the young Swede Oliver has committed himself to Wolves for the future. Looked like he was the rider planned to join before Lasse signed so hopefully he will start next season as a Wolf. Quality!

Certainly looks a good prospect and a good replacement for Ty if we are performing in a league where the goalposts are in the same place. But heaven knows what the elite league will look like next March

A great signing and certainly the best young Swedish U21 rider at the moment, even including Jacob Thorssell who has been a revelation dince joining as he was a complete novice in his first appearances and is now a 6+ rider.
2015 looks to be a make or break season for the Elite League as things will have to change if they want to keep the big names in the teams and that would mean riding on just one night a week. That would have to be a Monday and would mean Elite League clubs would have to look at putting on other meetings of a lower standard on the weeks they are away on a Monday and hold these on a different race night.
If the EL carries on as it is now, I can only see there being a lower points limit to cover for the loss of riders like Woffinden, Ward, Iversen etc who now have the option of riding each weekend in the GP's and SEC. Wolves was once called Little Denmark back in the 80's and can see that being recalled Little Sweden with a team that could consist of Peter Karlsson, Jacob Thorssell, Oliver Bernzton and Pontus Aspgren
The only down side on a team like that is that they are racers and Wolves havent had a great gater since Ronnie Correy.

So we sign a good prospect and lose the man that has lit up this season in Piotr Pawlicki. After seeing him ride this season I am sure most Wolves fans would have wanted him in the team for years. I guess with him not turning up for seemingly no good reason, the club had no choice but it's a terrible cap to a disappointing season for Wolves.
With Tai not achieving a good average and PK surely a short term signing, where to now for Wolves in 2015. Certainly looking at the team sheet for the Leicester match it's looking like a miserable end to 2014
