Thanks to SB and 8 for the updates - appreciated, as ever.
Interested to hear from those trackside later, but seems to have been a reasonably solid home performance, especially w/o Freddie. Shame the boys let us down on Saturday.
Anyway, last 8 of the KO Cup, can't be all bad

Entertaining meeting.
IF we could have kept the track well watered throughout the meeting we'd have pushed them close on aggregate.
As per usual, nothing is done apart from grading of the outside, obviously to smooth it out for the away riders to use. BLOODY WATER IT AFTER HEAT 4.
As with last week you could see the boys were riding for their places.
Ales 4 out of 5.. 3 blinding gates, just missed out in Heat 8 which is where our faint hopes expired. Was poor in this race after missing the gate, but thats Ales
Niels K.. 4.5 out of 5.. Some excellent racing from NKI, seeing of Nicholls on a tac, and sweeping past Richardson in a later heat. Unlucky to miss out in a tight Heat 13.
Nicolai.. 3 out of 5.. Excellent in his first two rides, poor in his last two, but did seem to be suffering bike problems.
David... 2.5 out of 5 ... Another flattering score. He battled hard, but still way way down on what he can/should be doing. Shouldn't be getting beaten by Cameron Woodward. Gifted points in Heat 15... Debatable if he should have been in the race. Not terrible.. but didn't rais e his game.
Christian.. 4 out of 5.. Was this the real Christian? Or an imposter? Good gate to win Heat 2, followed by an expected last in Heat 7 of gate 4. An excellent ride to hold off Lewis Bridger in Heat 11 (comfortably) and to top it all a superb final race, missing the start, but hugging a tight inside line and shooting past Woodward down the back straight. He then proceeded to pull further and futher clear, and for one of the very few times this season appeared to be going fast.
Kenny.. 4.5 out of 5.. A revelation in his first 3 heats. Good gating and VERY strong first corners taking him to 3 paid wins. Tailed off a little as the track altered. Got caught by the wider line of Bridger in his 4th ride, before his chain came off as he was about to give chase. Missed out in his 5th, but a tremendous last bend outside pass on Gustaffson in his last ride netted him another point.
Someone mentioned that it was on the radio that Lukas Dryml is rumoured to be replacing Nicolai.... not sure if this is true, but Lukas was in the bar at the end of the meeting.

Well well well - did we start magnificently or were the Budgies THAT bad? Actually both i reckon. As the weather was pretty decent it saved the crowd somewhat but it was still pretty sparse and the crowd let the team know there thoughts on the parade. A universal ripple for all 6 riders. No controversy racing wise, dryml did one of his customary flyers in heat 10 but the ref called it back this time. He gets more and more blatant!!!!!!
The Wolves boys did themselves proud tonight in trying to restore some glory with every team member pulling in with scores and performances they can hold there heads up with.
Wolves.
ales - unbeaten 3 out of 4 rides but was nowhere in the 8th but a great gater and looked fast enough too tonight. 4/5
Niels - seen off by Kennett in the 9th but still tried hard. Got caught in traffic on the 13th and probably wanted David out the way to put his own challenge in but tried to team up with David to launch a 2 prong assault on Kennett. Didn't make up that much ground in the last 2 laps. However was pretty exemplary . A gifted 3 points in the 15th as scott was away. 4/5
Nic - decent first 2 rides but then seemed to struggle with his bike in his last 2. 2/5
David - the guy battled away for his points but seems to still struggle on the corners and loses speed. Howe paid 11, GT 5. Enough said. 2.5/5
Christian - improved showing with some passing thrown, Too much too late tho? 3/5
Kenny - starting in awesome style and rode like he REALLY wants his place. again, too late to save himself?? Bike problems restricted his last 3 rides but my man of the match. 4/5
Eastbourne.
Nicholls - started very slowly then looked like he would finish on a hat trick of wins. 3.5/5
bridger - fantastic in heat 8 but little else but battle and get passed in the others. 1.5/5
Richardson - his usual `bike problems when in last` to start the night then was mediocre to say the least. 2/5
Woodward - went about his night fairly quietly and did his job well. 3.5/5
Kennett - terrible 2 opening heats then 2 great ones. and not in contention in heat 15. 2.5/5
Gustafsson - a battler , a trier. a rserve to match most. and surprisingly out scored by BOTH wolf boys tonight!!!!! 2.5/5
Brundle - is this his best elite score? led iversen for 2 laps in heat 9 and seemed to be picking up points when not expected too. 2.5/5

Steve... what are you talking about in Heat 10 with Ales?? He just made a good start. And it wasn't called back....
Think you 'may' be talking about Heat 6, when Ales made another great gate. This race was called back, but due to bunching, and collisions on the 1st and 2nd turn.

Howe paid 11, GT 5. Enough said. 2.5/5 I just wish you had not compared Howe (who is still a Wolf, after all) with one of my least favourite riders, but the root of our problem is demonstrated by comparing Saturday (where we lost the tie): GT paid max from 5 rides (not 6), Howe 6. I will add Dryml, Klindt and Hansen to that comparison if it diminishes the blinding glare from your hero, but enough still said?
