I found this posted on another site, When I reported that Rospiggarna were being very professional and were off to Italy for pre-season traininng (Higer Standards in Sweden?) little did I realise that the next piece of news to break was that a certain Polish club would do the same thing. The end result (so I hear) is that Billy Hamill and Billy Janniro will miss Coventry's Press and Practice day on March 8th If this is true then things don't change do they? I just hope that the Pratt has got his playoff dates firmly in his diary this season! ;D

Beegee - Your right nothing ever changes. Perhaps CVS will let them in to our Press and Practise. It wouldn't surprise me.

Beegee - Your right nothing ever changes. Perhaps CVS will let them in to our Press and Practise. It wouldn't surprise me. CVS usually lets other riders have a spin ,can't see as it would make much difference to someone like Billy Hamill though as he knows the track well enough now ,but to Janiro it could be to his advantage. I could'nt see the Pratt letting SAM having a spin at Cov though TEXT

I think it's ridiculous that two of their top riders are not going to be there. After all it is not only a practise day it's a press day as well. It wouldn't happen at Edinburgh that's for sure. A few years ago Peter Carr had a non speedway injury and wasn't able to ride at the practise but he was told to be there anyway for the press meeting and photo call. If the Americans do not attend what kind of message does this send to a media who already class speedway as a mickey mouse sport? The answer? They are right

If this is true then I would think the new management at Coventry will not be pleased. I guess that they want all the good publicity they can get. Coventry have arranged for a lot of school children to attend on this day so all the team should have been there. Not a good advert for speedway I think. CVS WILL probably let then come and pratice at Monmore but that does not make up for missing their own.

I am not happy either. It's a poor show if the captain of the team is missing press/practice day. It will be Lee Burstow's first look at Speedway, some school-children will be there, as will ex Bee Johnnie Reason (afraid I do remember him!) who will be making the draw for which school is paired with which rider. I know Steve Turner has put forward his views on the Speedway-forum, but I still don't see why England always seems to be down the list of priorities, after Poland and Sweden.

Hello
CVS probably will let them in, because a couple of years ago Hamill was at ours and they refused mikael at theres. Perhaps they will let mikael in this year to give coventry fans a treat. Can someone please explain how the hell you use the effects like glow because a load of writing just comes up when i click on them

Perhaps the Americans only come to he Elite League to earn their holiday money! They seem to get out of this country at every opportunity. Perhaps Coventrys management should re-locate in Sweden or Poland, that way they may finally become winners

Personally I'm amazed that Pratt hasn't been in the press blaming CVS for them not being there!

It will be interesting to see what line the Coventry management team take, especially after so much effort has been put in with community relations over the last few months. We await with baited breath

Apparently - according to the unofficial Coventry website- only Billy H. will be missing. Someone quoting "a good source" (and we all know how reliable they are) says Billy J. will be at the practice. We shall see. Anyone coming over to Brandon to see some quality riders in action for a change? Look forward to seeing you if you are. ;D

I think there might be some school kids riding push bikes and someone mentioned that Sam Ermolenko is usually at Coventry's practice. Does that make it more entertaining for you? .. ;D
