Well what did you all think of the talk in then . I thought some very good questions were raised and were answered in a very informative way.
It was very interesting to here the views on why Sam was left out last season and what the management expect of him for 2003. I dont think we have heard the last of the Paul Hurry story though. Very interesting to here 'the other side of the coin' as it were, regarding Paul and his grasstrack bookings.

It was nice to meet you and Meg last night Rich It's refreshing to hear the managements point of view to some of the stories that fly around. As a Daniel Nermark fan I was disappointed when he wasn't included in the team this year but when it's explained to you by the management you can understand why I suppose. I don't think I would like the job of choosing a team would you?

Good to meet you too at last Joy ;D I agree, I certainly wouldnt fancy the job of trying to put a team together each season. Especially as everyone thinks they know better than you I too am a big Daniel fan, however I think it was explained very clearly the reasons why he is n't riding this year for us. Maybe next year eh Chris

Hi everyone, nice to see you all again last night. ;D It's was nice to hear CVS's view on who's fault it was that half the Coventry side had gone on holiday for the play-off's as it's the first time I have heard him say anything. I could always see why they probably wouldn't risk having Daniel back at Wolves this year and no I wouldn't like the job of picking the team as I would have probably had Jeper back. I think they could have made a mistake as I think Daniel will up his average for Ipswich but it was a risk they couldn't take and I can understand that. Let's hope that they can fit him in for next season. ;D Hopefully we will be able to hear the times and who is actually in the races this season now they have sorted out the speaker system in the lower bar. ;D I did actually go to the speedway office last season to report it but was told that it was nothing to do with the speedway it was up to Ladbrooks to put it right, so I think he did know of the problem but chose to ignore it.

Hi, Would anyone be kind enough to do a summary of the main points at the talk-in for those who weren't able to be there. It sounds like there were some interesting tid-bits of information floating around! Thanks in advance, Andrew

What did happen with paul hurry? Ths story we all got was that the Wolves promotion told Paul that if he cut down on his long/grass track meetings there was a spot for him in the team for this season. CVS however told us last night that they actually asked Paul to do more speedway meetings, for example Sweden or Poland as there seemed to be a big difference in Pauls style for the 2 different events. They suggested riding in Europe would improve Pauls speedway technique. At no time did they tell or would ever tell a rider what events to ride in. Also CVS told Paul and David, who were both on loan last year that he was considering buying out their contracts. David took no time at all to reply and indeed kept asking CVS if he had begun talks at all, whilst months went by before Paul came back with an answer of maybe. It was from this response that negotiations were started to sign David and not Paul. Mrwolfandrew - I hope that has cleared that point up for you.

It was an interesting talk-in last night, although i was confused by the comment made by CVS regarding the fact that some of the supporters didn't like Paul Hurry! In my view you are always going to get SOME supporters who don't like a particular rider, but does that make any difference to the riders ability and whether they should ride the following season? I know that in Paul's case it was probably different, but surely not every supporter likes every member of the team, as long as each individual is proud to ride for WOLVES does it matter that not all the supporters like them???

???i cannot understand the reluctance to sign danny nermark, when they sign sam as third heatleader but only expect second string scores, somthing don't make sense CVS and PA made the comment that they didnt want to take the risk of Danny not being fully fit for the new season , as they did with Charlie Gjedde a couple of years ago and having to fill in withon loan riders , as we did with Alan Rossiter
