Forgive me if details of this are posted elsewhere :- but can anyone tell me the format of press and practise, and is there a charge for entry?

The Press and Practice day is normally very free and easy without a proper format. Riders come out individually at the start and get the feel of the track. Later on they do set up short races (2 laps) with tapes starts. Often quite difficult to work out who is actually racing - but actually quite fun as well. There is usually a small charge for admission which goes to a good cause. See you there....

Forgive me if details of this are posted elsewhere :- but can anyone tell me the format of press and practise, and is there a charge for entry? Press and pratice starts at 6pm next Monday, there is someone with a bucket at the gate and you put £1 in which goes to a charity. Usually all the Wolves and whoever else CVS lets in for the pratice go on track and just race around and pratice starts ect. Not usually too much imformation about who's out on track it's a guessing game most of the evening. All good fun though if you haven't been to one before then maybe you should give it a try? That's providing it's not raining as it is on a Monday night.

Thanks for that guys. Will be there, praying for a few days dry beforehand tho' ! Also looking forward to Sunday, and hoping it will have a bit more to offer than last year, although it wasn't too bad for a first attempt.

Beegee, yes me & mini-yozza will be there........... Mrs Yozza's 1st visit will be 24th v Coventry.............let her see it at its best (or most controversial) Oh well I guess the match against Coventry will be a good one for her first speedway meeting, a local derby you can't beat them. ;D I hope she won't be expecting an easy win for Wolves then?
