No, she's coming with an open mind, as she is not keen on watching it on tv. However, she does know who all the riders are (thanks to Mini-yozza) and does take an interest in what we tell her...............so maybe she will become a regular

Good to see some action again last night and get the smell back in the nostrils I thought David looked good last night. Magnus looked smooth and has definately got the style of a young Mikael. Good also to see such a great turn out. I bet some clubs wish they got that many for a league match Yozzawolf & miniyozza, good to meet you last night ;D

it was good to see danny going well, looks like ipswich are going to be lucky. i thought david looked very sharp, although the track was a little on the dry side. good to see some of the juniors going well, looking better for the conference league this year. i have been told that we have a 14 year old who is an excelent prospect and will be eligable to race after his 15 birthday in may

although the track was a little on the dry side. Understandable I suppose, as the forcast was for showers during the afternoon and evening

I really enjoyed last night it was nice to meet up with everyone again. ;D I thought Daniel looked good last night he still knew his way around Monmore and I think Ipswich are lucky to have him this season. Michael looked like he hadn't been off the bike for 4 months. I thought David looked smooth. Saw Sam have a few hairy moments on the 3rd/4th bend. Lookes like it's Sam and Adam at 3&4 this season and David at No2. Looks like we have someone who is good at wheelies after seeing Magnus last night. I thought he lookes like Michael on the bike too. Can't wait for next Sunday now to see some real speedway. ;D

Nice to meet yo and Meg too, Rich, as well as Lawt, MM2, beegee(again) and Lupus. As for last night, was very impressed with Magnus.......looked stylish, skilful, and VERY quick. Rob Finlow looks like a useful aquisition for the Cubs, and maybe the cup team? Olly Allen looked quite at home too, and great to see Daniel looking comfortable back on his bike. Sam had one or two hairy moments though, hope he doesn't clip the 4th bend kurb too often when it's for real!

No one has mentioned PK , so I will . I thought he looked good last night , did anyone notice the way he was holding the white line coming out of the 3rd 4th turn on to the home straight .

Strange how everyone seems to get a different impression from watching the practice. It's notoriously difficult judging anyone going round on their own...
For what it's worth, I thought the most impressive were Mikael (as you'd expect) and Adam who was really going for it. I thought Sam looked pretty quick at times, and have a real feeling that David is in for a big season. He just seems to have a real air of confidence around him at the moment. If he starts the way he ended last year...
Biggest talking point around last night was the change to the track on the 3rd bend. For anyone not aware, they have taken the white line in quite a distance going into the 3rd bend, similar to the 2nd bend. The track must be almost "D" shaped now. Interesting move and unexpected - didn't hear any mention of it in the winter. First thing that springs to mind is it will help PK with his famous dives up the inside into that bend, it'll give him more room. I'd imagine it will force riders taking the inside to turn really hard on the apex of the bend. CVS mentioned our lack of home advantage these days, might this have been introduced to try to give us an edge?
Good to meet Yozza and Mini Yozza last night along with Rich and the usual crew. If any other forum members fany coming over to say "Hi", myself and Lawt are easy to find opposite the tapes just under where beegee sits in the bar.
Cheers, Mark.
