Frustrating final result but the last three meetings should give us all a little more hope that this team could do something at the sharp end of the season. we are, as CVs hoped, definitely improving.

Good performance, disappointing that we couldn't keep the unbeaten run going, but we got close. Well done the lads, and a good move with Magnus in 13. And a good score for Kris.
Thanks for the updates and for the history Rob

Thanks for the updates Lawt and MM2 - hope your fingers heal up quickly ;D I've been texting the results to Joy and Claire at Stoke Spitfires meeting and decided it was going so fast that I would only send every 5 heats - saved me a bit of credit ;D Well done lads Night night all

Terrific performance, a frustrating result but for once we held our own in heats 13 and 15. We don't really know the story behind heat 13. David had won heat 6 so it was a surprise to see him taken out. I wonder whether they have decided that he has such a mental problem with heat 13 that they took him out? I guess it's most likely it was an engine problem or something though... It seemed an odd choice to use Magnus rather than Pecyna but it paid off nicely with Magnus beating Sullivan. Interesting stuff, I feel there is a story behind that one. Thanks for following the updates, see you all on Monday.

I am as grateful as ever to Lawt and MM2 for the updates and the banter.
Final thought: Only four last places tonight and five heat winners, yet we nearly beat Poole at their place. We must be doing something right.
Thanks to all my friends on here, speak to you soon.

Can't complain about the outcome at all. Visiting teams are always up against it on that track.

Great result!! Nearly putting one over the mouthy champions (soon to be ex champions!) Good team effort and as not many - if any - will win a track slick this year id say that the boys did great. Great job from Krzys - top scoring as well - WELL DONE KRZYS.

I think Pecyna is a revelation at the moment. I'd have put money on him being replaced after 12 matches even a couple of weeks ago but there's no way he'll be dropped now is there?

It was such a quick match tonight that I didn't even have chance to plug this fantastic CD ROM...
Reedbeds of Poole Harbour Kevin Cook 2001. Currently only available as a CD ROM including a report on each reedbed, and jpeg digital photographs. Obtainable from: The Secretary, PHSG, Syldata, Arne, Dorset, BH20 5BJ
Price: £30.00 (includes p + p)
Brief Description This survey was commissioned by the Purbeck Reedbed Working Group (as part of the Biodiversity Action Plan for reedbeds) to assess the condition, and conservation value of 13 major reedbeds in Poole Harbour. The survey found that the majority of the Poole Harbour reedbeds surveyed (174.55 hectares) were in good condition and supported a number of notable species. However all reedbeds showed signs of damage by sika deer (Cervus nippon) which was severe in one reedbed and localised in others. Drying out and scrub encroachment, water quality control, no conservation management and lack of management of adjacent habitats were also highlighted as local problems. The threat of rising sea levels and loss by erosion and habitat change are also of concern. ;D
