Well, good to see the pressure of team selection has not got to Johnno then. But can he beat Richard Hall in heat 9?

Johnno beats Hall in 9. Ronnie looks unhappy with his bike; seems to be having trouble turning it. Easy wins for NP and MIKE in 9/10.

This one is a lot tighter than I thought it would be. No slips, lads

heat 11 stopped. Shields and Magnus fighting for second when Shields shoves Magnus into the third turn. Both hit the fence at pace. Both riders OK. Fence needs repairing and an early interval is being taken. Race will be rerun with the exclusion of Shields.

Heat 12 looks like a 5-1 to Eastbourne when our pair wake up and put two excellent laps in. Should be enough to see us home.
Ipswich 42 Swindon 42 after 14......... and it starts to chuck it down. Meeting ends as a draw.

What the .. you made a typo with the Heat 12 result '8'? I had to check the result myself! Fair play to Johnno and Pete Adams. It would have been easy to stick Magnus in.

Even though I was hoping for a bigger margin, it's irrelevant really - to make the playoffs we need to win at Eastbourne

Freddie excluded for tapes in 13 but KP comes in and does the business. As does DAVID in 14. Great comeback for him, well done DAVID.

Yep, good scores from the reserves and Micky and a great comeback from DH. Let's hope he can keep it going. All we need is Johnno to ride like he did at the start of the year, and for Ronnie to do the biz at reserve, and we still have a slim chance of those play-offs (personally, I think very slim, but still there)

And, I have to say, a great night for NP. Like him or loathe him, he is definitely a great #1 for Eastbourne, and has obviously learnt to ride the Green
