Nice to see David in double figures tonight, and the reserves look impressive as always. Still some concerns for me regarding the main body of the team, even Max who failed to beat Nicki all night, but at least the result was there tonight. Congrats to the lads. Also, thanks again for the updates, they're always appreciated.

MM2 said Pedersen was awesome tonight. No controversies, just excellent racing, both from the gate and the back. He has gone unbeaten at Monmore in both EL fixtures.
But we won and MIKAEL has his track record back. Great to talk to you all, speak to you again on wednesday.

Fair play to Nicki Pedersen. Very Impressive!
Good performance from David, and I thought Magnus looked alot faster than what he has over the last couple of home meetings...
Well, A wins a win... The only way Is up...

Yeah, ultra-clean riding from Pedersen for a change. His first win over Max was brilliant - despite Mike's entirely fair attempt to move him wide on the 3rd/4th bend, Pedersen not only managed to stay on where many would have bailed out, but also found enough speed to pass Mike.
Pleased for Mike to regain his track record, but I don't get too worked up about track records. If every race winner was that fast the racing wouldn't be very exciting.
David looked good, especially in his first proper competitive meeting in Britain since his injury. Even his staunchest critics can't be unhappy with that. Or can they?
Krysztof and Magnus did their stuff as usual. Freddie tried hard and must have been disappointed to miss out on a chance to take on Pedersen in heat 13. Ronnie was unlucky to be called back after getting a flyer - doubly frustrating as the ref seemed to allow Eastbourne to get away with it in the next heat.
Then there is our captain. His body language on the track suggests he is going through the motions an awful lot of the time. There's nothing wrong with settling for what you have if the man in front has pulled clear, but too often Johnston is off the pace right from the start. Not sure why he fell in his first ride when comfortably second, but if there wasn't a mechanical reason then it was an amateurish ride. He redeemed himself a bit with his win over Barker, but there must be concerns about his overall performance.
It felt like a struggle at times, but as Tom Adams says, a win is a win.

Nicki performed very good, and thats why we own him. But the more that nicki holds up his team, the weaker they look when they are either without him or he isnt as performing. This will also make his average higher resulting in eastbourne having a lower bottom end next season. Nicki's best track in Britain is the wolves...

I almost forgot the comedy highlight of the meeting. Adam Shields' back wheel becoming tangled up with the tapes after Freddie touched them. Poor Shields sat there looking round at the mess and was obviously perturbed that no-one came to help (just like the way he didn't go to see how Magnus was after their tangle earlier on). Shields had to do it himself.

Wolfgang, I thought that was a classic moment too. I loved the point where the start marshall walked back towards Shields as if he was going to untangle the tapes but then just moved the trailing bit a few feet, dropped it and walked away again. I wish I could have seen his face because I bet he was grinning from ear to ear. I think it all started because the start folks had shown Shields the way to ride past without going over the tapes but he chose not to go that way. After stopping his engine and removing the tapes he then had to push start himself. Golden Rose Comedy sketch.

First things first ..... the reason we own SuperNicki is beacuse nobody can afford to buy him .... Scott Nicholls £35,000 ..... Rico £32,000 what does that make a ex World Champion with a 10pt average worth .... £45,000 ? & who in speedway has that kind of money. Watch this space ... Nicki,s days as a Wolves rider are not over yet.
Good win for the Wolves ..... excellent comeback for David Howe .... terrible news from Sweden .... what a difference 24 hours makes.
Get well soon Mikael!
