But what about:
The Rubettes featuring Bill Hurd
The Legend Continues......
More than thirty year ago the Rubettes burst onto the music scene and sold a staggering 8 million copies of their first record "Sugar Baby Love". Great music never dies and in most countries of the World, you'll probably hear a Rubettes song played on the radio at least once a day.
The Rubettes sound is very much alive today and this unique line-up re-unites original founder member Bill Hurd with Paul Da Vinci - the original lead voice of "Sugar Baby Love" - and "Rubette" Alex Bines, drummer since 1982.
Together with Ian Pearce and Billy Hill this exciting dynamic band, brings a freshness that enhances the fantastic sounds of the 70's hits and produces stunning live performances with material old and new.........the Rubettes of the 21st Century !!
Maybe they'll last until the next century...I hope so

I always thought the Rubettes were women? Or was that the Ronettes? Anyway - I have a cunning plan, I think that Adam should shave off all his hair, spray his bike orange and keep his mouth shut. We might just get away with it

Whereupon the Countess, beloved of God, loosed her hair and let down her tresses, which covered the whole of her body like a veil, and then, mounting her horse and attended by two knights, she rode through the marketplace without being seen, except her fair legs, and having completed the journey, she returned with gladness to her astonished husband and obtained of him what she had asked, for Earl Leofric freed the town of Coventry and its inhabitants from the aforesaid service, and confirmed what he had done by a charter. Last Friday night I let down my tresses and mounted a horse. The case is due in court next wednesday. But were you attended by two Knights

Actually, I think the historians got it wrong:
"Lady Godiva is the most successful team in the history of ultimate frisbee. Since their inception in 1987, Boston's Lady Godiva continues to be an elite women's ultimate frisbee team. Godiva has never lost prior to the semi-finals at the US National Championship Tournament, held each year, and they won a Gold Medal at the 1998 World Championship."
How do you play frisbee on a horse?

Last Friday night I let down my tresses and mounted a horse. The case is due in court next wednesday. But were you attended by two Knights I categorically deny that me or my brother were involved. This will only make sense to those of you who know my surname. Or those that can now guess what my surname is to make the joke make sense. Make sense? D'oh!

I always thought the Rubettes were women? Or was that the Ronettes? I always thought rubettes was that syndrome that made you swear all the time. Well, at least every time you heard their music

Or those that can now guess what my surname is to make the joke make sense. Make sense? D'oh! So it was nothing to do with you and Dukie then? Only in America... Lady Godiva on two wheels Jill Feeley, 25, who went topless while wearing an American flag as a miniskirt at Columbus Circle on Sun. Aug. 14 with 10 other women bicycle riders, said she was grateful police saved them from a bunch of excited men who rushed the group at 4:30 p.m. There were no arrests. However, Feeley’s lawyer, Jeffrey Rothman, said Feeley would sue the city for arresting her on Aug. 4 during a topless appearance on Delancey St. In the Aug. 4 incident, she was held for 12 hours before being released with no charges filed. Rothman said the suit would affirm the right of women as well as men to go “top-free,” as affirmed in a 1992 State Court of Appeals decision. I think there are a few Wolves fans at Brandon tonight with Rubettes Syndrome. It's my ambition to get it, must be great fun, you could get away with anything.

Was your Mother called Gladys Anyway - has anyone looked at the score lately - I think its Christines idea of a cruel joke LOL. ;D ;D ;D My brother actually is called Phil and, of course, when he was very little, he was known as Pip. I, on the other hand, was not. Good job for Gladys that she had two: Gladys Knight and Pip sounds like a ventriloquist act.
