Oxford, The City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its University and place in history. For over 800 years, it has been a home to royalty and scholars, and since the 9th century an established town, although people are known to have lived in the area for thousands of years..................................

Nope. When I did the profiles for Wilson & Lawson I got it into my head that Wilson was the better of the two at present but Lawson would be the better rider in the long run.
We shall see. Tomicek did only average about 4 in the PL last year, so, though I thought Pietraszko would make heat 2 his own at Cowley.

Evening all ;D Nice to see you, to see you nice Good luck to the lads ( and Adam) Any ideas what the topic of conversation for tonight is going to be? I'm going to try to find an interesting fact about Oxford to start with.................... Not about Oxford but from the excellent Oxford Bottled Beer Website: tasting notes on a funky Belgian number called Waase Wolf: Boelens Waase Wolf ABV 6.5% • Vol 330 ml • bottle • Belgium • Cheap • Flavour 7 • Bottle Conditioned Other beers from Boelens Other beers from Belgium -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From this tiny "house brewery" in Belsele, East Flanders stalks the hazy wolf: it's a sweetish speciality vaguely in the triple style, though despite its light amber colour it has something of the character of a much darker porter-type brew. There's a honeyed, flowery and sweetish aroma and a cloudiness from a dense sediment. It's petally and spicy on the palate, with some interesting notes of chocolate and burnt rubber, and a distinctively peachy taste develops later. The finish rounds things off with dry chocolate and ashy hoppiness, with a herbal taste emerging later. "Not for sheep" warns the label, presumably referring to the individuality of the brew as much as its dangers, since 6.5% is almost a session beer by Belgian standards; nonetheless it tastes well below its strength and is perilously drinkable. Recommended.
