Notes:
Heat 1: PK gated from 1, early showing from William on the inside of turn two to pass Harris who came back around the outside of 3 & 4. Harris also nipped inside Janniro.
Heat 2: Restart after Christian moved. Restart saw the Bees pair shift Chris out wide and into last on turn 1 & 2, leaving a gap for William to take the lead. Chris cut back inside the two Bees on the second bend of lap 2.
Heat 3: Good start from Freddie off 1. Schlein easily into second. Ronnie cut back inside Risager on the second bend, and it stayed like that.
Heat 4: Superb start from Billy, from Nicholls and Allen. Nicholls is flying. He pulled level inside Hamill going into the first bend of lap 2 and snatched the lead as he moved Billy wide. Hard but fair pass. Allen moved through the gap into second but Billy took it back, I didn't see where.
Heat 5: The Bees pair gated, Freddie rode a good outside line on the fourth bend of lap 1 to pass Janniro, but Harris had pulled clear. Ronnie kept nibbling away on the inside of Janniro but to no avail.
Heat 6: Brilliant start from PK who dominated the first bend and took Nicholls' line. PK kept out in the dirt, the line Nicholls wanted and although Nicholls was close, PK was always going to win. Good point for William, who stuck to the inside on turn two to pick off Batchelor.
Heat 7: Billy easily from the gate. William switched back on turn two but the Bees were already there. Schlein and Risager content with a 3-3.
Heat 8: The Bees gated and looked sure for a 5-1. Ronnie was left out in the dirt on the first bend but couldn't cut back as Christian was already there. Chris went far too wide on the next bend. The Bees still looked safe, but Allen left a gap and Ronnie nipped inside on the home straight of lap 3.
Heat 9: Nicholls clearly moved at the gate. Batchelor slid off on the first bend. Red lights on, not sure whether Batchelor's fall got the ref out of jail there, cos it looked like he'd let Nicholls escape with it. Restart saw the Bees pair gate, but Nicholls took Batchelor up to the fence coming into the back straight and Freddie and Ronnie came through. Freddie took up the chase and went for a gap going into the third bend of lap 2. It looks Freddie bumped Nicholls further round the bend, but both stayed on.
Heat 10: The ride of the night. Not from PK, who made another gate and missed all the action. Schlein was a clear second going into the back straight. Risager and Lawson bumped on the second bend but both kept going. William wound it on around turns three and four to pass Risager, then deftly cut back to the inside on the first bend of lap 2, keeping it tight to pass Schlein going into the back straight. Wolves fans in ecstacy!
Heat 11: A domino effect going into the first bend saw Harris slide off. He didn't stay down, but might have expected a rerun, but the lights stayed off. Janniro passed inside Hamill down the back straight but Billy wound it on around 3 & 4 to take the lead.
Heat 12: Race of the season! Ronnie gated and pulled clear of Allen on the second bend. Lawson third, but Nicholls blasted around the outside on turn four. Both Nicholls (outside) and Lawson (inside) passed Allen on the second bend of lap 2. Nicholls started to close on Ronnie, but Correy took Nicholls' line all the way. Nicholls ran out of room on the second bend of lap 4 as Ronnie locked and then lifted a bit, and Lawson snatched second place. Quality ride from Ronnie whose experience paid off.
Heat 13. Nicholls gated, and hit the dirt line on turn two, but Hamill kept it going around the outside to pull off a superb pass going into the back straight. Meanwhile PK, after a slight collision with Harris, kept it tight and passed Nicholls on the inside. Some minor worries while the two Wolves sorted out their team riding, but this was an excellent 5-1.
Heat 14: Schlein on a tac ride all the way. Freddie put him under early pressure. Level on aggregate!
Heat 15: Bit of bumping going into the first bend left Billy last and PK first. Nicholls held back to team-ride Schlein for a 3-3.
Run-off for bonus: PK gated, Nicholls inside on the second bend. PK lined him up and pulled off an incredible pass down the back straight on lap 2, only for Nicholls to cut back on the fourth bend and come back inside on the home straight. PK tried to keep a fast run around the first and second bend but Nicholls had it sewn up.
