Sounds like an excellent point. We know that CVS and Peter Adams read the forum. Wouldn't it be great if they would let us know what the thinking was about this?
Peter Adams, in his program notes, clearly explained why William Lawson was not used more heavily in recent matches and the explanation made good sense. Perhaps there is an equally logical reason that we are not aware of for not using Christian in the other two heats last night. But if there is, I'd like to know about it for future reference. In this instance it could have been the difference between winning and losing.
However, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Someone pointed out that if Ronnie had been on a TR in heat 9 at Arena we would have won the meeting easily - but none of us at the meeting even considered using the facility in that heat because both Ronnie and Chris had been awful up to that point.
