Weather sunny, breezy and warm. Track looks well watered, roughed up on the outside. Crowd is good but very few Wolves fans. The Piefamily arrived just before the start due to heavy traffic on the A14.
Wolves win the toss and take gates 1 and 3.
1. PETER, Jansson, Pepe, EVANS 3-3 PK from the gate, wins by 40 yds. Evans the length of the straight behind him.
2. King, Kroner, EVANS, MAGNUS. 5-1, 8-4 Magnus lifts at the start and makes no ground up. Barrie Evans close to the fence on every bend. Track is slick but heavily watered. 3rd bend is in the shade and pretty wet, riders are cautious going into the bend.
3. Miskowiak, BATCHELOR, LINDGREN, Louis. 3-3, 11-7 Ragged start. Miskowiak got a flyer, Louis stops on back straight to protest about the start. Frank Ebdon is ref - he lets it go. Batchellor looks a bit wild. Freddie wisely lets him go.
4. Loram, HAMILL, MAGNUS, Kroner. 3-3, 14-10 Good start from Magnus. Loram round him on 2nd bend. Good team riding from Wolves pair deny efforts of Kroner. Magnus much better this race. Batchelor is RR in the next.
5. PETER, Miskowiak, Louis, BATCHELOR(RR) 3-3, 17-13 PK from gate 4 and sweeps round the home pair on 2nd bend. JFB says its a gating competition again tonight. Smooth track suits PK with his injury.

6. Pepe, HAMILL, Jansson, EVANS (EF) 4-2, 21-15 Pepe rides the gate 4 line, sweeping round the outside on first turn. Billy tries to shut him out but Pepe bravely squeezes through on the back straight. Evans stops on 1st bend.
7. Loram, LINDGREN, King, BATCHELOR 4-2, 25-17 Freddie sweeps round the gate 4 line and takes the lead. Loram rides excellent line to pass Freddie going into 2nd lap. Freddie RR in heat 8.
8. Jansson, Kroner, MAGNUS, LINDGREN (RET) 5-1, 30-18 Jansson absolutely stuffs Freddie on 1st bend. Freddie has to stop or he's in the crowd. He's not amused, waits and has a word with Jansson after the race.
9. Miskowiak, Louis, HAMILL, EVANS. 5-1, 35-19 Billy drops the clutch and gets nothing but wheelspin. Easy 5-1. Many of the riders are now on track looking at gate 2 which is just awful. 5 points in 9 races from gate 2!
10. LINDGREN, Pepe, Jansson, BATCHELOR. 3-3, 38-22 No sooner had I typed that when... Freddie wins from gate 2! Troy last but is getting faster.

11. PETER, Loram, King, MAGNUS. 3-6, 41-28 PK on a double, great start, easy win.
12. Miskowiak, BATCHELOR, MAGNUS, Kroner (fell) 3-3, 44-31 Kroner slid off on 3rd lap trying to round Magnus.
13. Pepe, PETER, Loram, HAMILL. 4-2, 48-33 Best race of the night. Home pair gate and go out wide, PK inside, splits them down back straight. For all 4 laps, PK is trying everything to pass pepe as Loram tries to pass PK. Pepe wins by 3/4 of length on the line. Billy nowhere.
14. LINDGREN, Louis, King, MAGNUS. 3-6, 51-39 Freddie on a double. Wolves gate but Witches pass Magnus either side on bend 2. Fred holds Louis out for 6 points.
15. PETER, Pepe, LINDGREN, Miskowiak. 2-4, 53-43 From the gate, PK off gate 4.
So a 10 point defeat thanks to a couple of good tactical rides. PA=tactical genius!
