Lawt's Pre-match report:
Weather: Dry but ominously cloudy. Track: Tyre packed and slightly spiked. Hard to judge how it will ride. Crowd: Sparse. Much less than a thousand at 7.25pm. Wolves Fans: Lawt, Piefamily, Lefty and Wolfie. And CVS.

1. Hancock, Kolodziej, PK, CHRISTIAN. 5-1. Easy 5-1. No challenge from PK. Chris falls on lap 3 bend 1 at the back.
2. Lemon, MAGNUS, WILLIAM, Barker. 3-3, 8-4 From the gate. Track grippier than expected but no passing yet.
3. McGowan, BILLY, Gjedde, RONNIE. 4-2, 12-6 Billy gates, Travis slides off, no contact but all 4 back. 2 minutes cancelled to allow McGowan more time to start his bike! Lawt can't believe Adams isn't on the phone! Billy gates in the rerun and Mcgowan rounds him on the 1st bend. Ronnie poor.
4. Zagar, FREDDIE, Lemon, MAGNUS. 4-2, 16-8 Wolves gate for a 5-1. Magnus drops to the back quickly and almost finishes 5th. Zagar stalks Fred and you can see the pass coming from here... 3rd lap 1st bend up the inside.
5. PK, Gjedde, McGowan, CHRISTIAN. 3-3, 19-11 PK good start off 4. Christian way behind.

6. Hancock, Kolodiej, WILLIAM, FREDDIE. 5-1, 24-12 From the gate. Freddie awful. Lawt says we've carried on from Monday night. "Why did I waste my time and money coming all down here to watch this?" Billy on a double in heat 7.
7. BILLY(T/R), Zagar, Lemon, RONNIE(Fx) 3-6, 27-18 Classic Frank Ebdon. Billy holds off a strong challenge from Zagar. Lemon passes Ronnie who falls 3rd lap 1st bend and is stuck under the air fence. Everyone expects a rerun but Frank wants to be home early and awards it. We'll take it, thanks!
8. WILLIAM, Kolodiej, Lemon, MAGNUS. 3-3, 30-21 PA brings William in for Christian... an inspired move! Great ride from William who gates then intelligently changes lines during the race to block JK's inside move. Magnus? Sorry, no.

9. McGowan, Gjedde, FREDDIE, WILLIAM. 5-1, 35-22 Travis gates but Gjedde at the back. He picks up speed on the outside, Freddie has the chance to block him but fails.
10. Hancock, BILLY, Kolodiej, RONNIE. 4-2, 39-24 From the gate. Quote from Mark Harvey "Can I go home yet?"
11. Zagar, PK (T/R), CHRISTIAN, Barker. 3-5, 42-29 PK on a double but can't quite get across Zagar on the 1st bend.
12. Lemon, McGowan, WILLIAM, MAGNUS. 5-1, 47-30 Magnus (in for Ronnie) makes a decent start but won't go for the dirt and is passed easily. AAARRRGGGHHH!

13. Zagar, PK, Hancock, FREDDIE. 4-2, 51-32 Two close races, Zagar v PK and Hancock v Fred. Sadly we lose both, good effort from Freddie though.
14. Gjedde, BILLY, MAGNUS, Barker. 3-3, 54-35 Wolves 5-1 for an eighth of a lap (according to Lawt). Thanks the lord for Ben Barker (who is very close to passing Magnus).
15. Zagar, PK, McGowan, HAMILL. 4-2, 58-37 Superb report from Lawt. "Hamill gated and I was so excited that I trod on this kid. I was making sure he was OK and missed how Zagar passed him" You won't read a report like that in the Speedway Star. ;D (Hamill first to last.)
Awful performance from Wolves.
Thanks for following, sorry I couldn't bring you better news. Same time tomorrow?
