Looks like Reading win at Peterboro tonight.
Thanks to all, including MM2 for the calls. As he said after heat 15:
'Was there ever any doubt?'

This is crazy - credit to Ipswich for avoiding the zeroes, but it's probably just as well we are not making the play-offs. bet pete adams will disagree on that one I'm sure he will - "not giving up until mathematically impossible etc etc". As I post my opinion on the internet, my opinion is worthless anyway, so I'm sure it won't trouble him

However, somebody does need to tell them that there will come a time when there will be no more points to throw away. Oh yes, that will be next Monday. How about that?

As I post my opinion on the internet, my opinion is worthless anyway, so I'm sure it won't trouble him of course, were all meaningless, we know nothing etc etc. The fans generally always know best! Will they listen tho?

Not sure I want to see the heatleaders ripped apart - they have been our saving grace this year. However, I would like to see consistency throughout the rest of the team. Anyway, you're right about the GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card. Just how many do we have?

Freddie has improved but is still not the complete article yet. Billy has either been hot or tepid. A side built on 3 strong heat leaders need those riders to perform week in week out - they always havent. i think they need a rethink next year imho.

Is Mikael's average low enough yet for us to consider bringing him back next year to supplement the 3 heat leaders ? Christian is still pretty young and learning so I would give him the benefit of the doubt,(possibly ?) William may be worth another go at reserve but we need two others,at least, who are consistent definitely !

Yes - the only alternative was Ben (who'd scored 0)

At least they've been winning heats 13 and 15 on a consistent basis though Steve......................unlike last year yes - but its always about the 1-7 not just having 2 riders that can pull it out the bag at the depth. I agree weve snuck more meetings this year than last but this is still a mediocre team unlikely to win anything and thought so all year.

When Christian started to show improvement (especially on his second visit to the away tracks), and Ronnie was in his good spell, I thought we were potential 'last place of the playoff places' material, but since then, Christian and Ronnie have gone off the boil completely and Magnus has not fulfilled last year's potential from the reserve berth. It also appears that while Will Lawson has done more than could ever have been expected, Ben Wilson has been out of his depth most of the year, and that has left us far too exposed at times - especially if one of the heatleaders has had an off-night. Billy has had a few duff meetings, but has generally been a good signing, and his form of late has been very good. He has probably added nearly a point to his starting figure (without checking, but I'm sure someone will correct me) and, yes you're right, Freddie isn't the finished article yet, but he is making excellent progress. And having three riders who can consistently come up with the goods in 13 and 15 has been a delight after last year's wash-out. Nevertheless, it is about 1-7, and if we have to shuffle out one of those top three to create a more balanced side than we have finished this season with, then so be it. The trick is, as always, to find those riders, who can increase their average, but in a consistent fashion. Mikael Max may be a good example of that, we have the rights to others who may not be such good examples. I'm sure the debates will keep us warm over the winter months - but as ever, we have at least 9 more days of this season to think about.
