Hey Jasper, I think tonight "never" would have been better than "late". Pretty dismal stuff, but I am worried about the St John's Ambulance man. Wonder if Ipswich will get R/R for him in the next fixture

Joe Haines 11 from 5. Fell on last bend in last race trying to go round the opposition. Heat 15 to come.
Paid win in 15, finished with paid 14.
Every comment I've read seems pretty impressed by him.

'Ipswich will again come to life this summer when from Sunday 25th June the fourth Ip-art festival takes place. From the only UK performance of the Red Shoes by the State Ballet School of Berlin, the hugely popular Zulu Warriors and Native American Dancers to a unique Royal Opera House live relay performance of the Marriage of Figaro and Heartbreak Productions' open air theatre, Ip-art has the greatest talents from around the world.'

An even bigger farce at Poole. meeting abandonedafter 12 due to rain. Poole up by 9 on the night, lose by 3 on aggregate. No Crump, Pedersen or Lindback.

Apparently Crump and Pedersen stayed in Sweden after last night's play-off was rained off, and hastily restaged tonight. I would tell both of them to shove British Speedway up their exhaust pipes. The last three heats could have made it interesting on aggregate too

Well, I certainly don't think we can complain about our choice of guest - he did finish second highest scorer for us tonight. What an interesting fixture it has been, don't you think, what?
