A good hard fought meeting, and a positive start to the home campaign.
Randgo Rider Ratings...
P. Karlsson 7. Unable to catch the flying Adams at the start but showed good determined style in the last race to deny Adams the maximum.
D.Howe. 9. Welcome back to Howie, fast out the gate and that last bend swoop to steal a win was brilliant.
B.Hamill. 6. A little slow to start but said he had machinery problems, still a good hard fighter.
M.Karlsson. 3. Only one point all night and that was gifted because there wasn't a fourth rider.
F.Lindgren. 7. Good nights work.
W.Lawson. 6. Started well but dropped off a little.
T.Pijper. 7. Looks promising, some hart fought battles and excellent heat 12 result.
The track looked as good as ever and it was damn good to be back!!
Bring on the Hammers next week...

Thanks RoA (always makes me think of Record of Achievement!)
BWitcher - do you just want one set of rider ratings for each meeting?

Freddie - looked so good last night, really holding his own and made use of the track - 9 David - was so fast, and confident. Great cut back in heat 12 - 9 PK - his usual entertaining self - 8 Theo - got stuck in, rode sensibly and did a nice bit of team riding when he could - 6 Billy - Solid but nothing spectacular - 6 William - looked really good to start with, especially his 2nd ride going round outside - 5 Magnus - well he will want to forget that meeting - 4
Man of Match for me - Freddie.

Here we go then... PK - 8 - would have been a 9 but have to measure him against the flying Adams who outclassed everyone before PK turned him over in heat 15. DH - 7 - great to see the resurgence of confidence, highlighted with the genuine last-to-first in heat 8. BH - 6 - no lack of effort, but seemed down on power, dropping points that he shouldn't have. MK - 1 - always well off the pace. Poor, even in comparison to Chrzanowski. Plenty of Premier League riders would have been far more competitive. FL - 7 - again, have to take account of his three defeats by Adams, but otherwise an excellent, assured performance. WL - 5 - As good as could be expected. TP - 6 - chipped in with the third places that mattered. Seems to have settled in immediately.

Track: Superbly prepared, perhaps the best I've ever seen in March. Racing was excellent with passing in virtually every heat.
The difference between the two sides was Wolves' greater strength in depth. Six riders performed well for Wolves while Swindon relied heavily on Adams and Ulamek (until his poor 4th ride).
The change of gate positions had an effect on heat 1, it was almost like an Olympique heat with Adams chasing down the fast gating David Howe and PK catching Chrzzzznwski for 3rd.
Heat 10 was highlight of the night. Ulamek was away at the front while David and PK disputed 2nd place(!). On the last lap, PK forcefully moved past David and made an amazing amount of ground up on Ulamek, catching him on the line with a superb cut back across the 3rd/4th bend. Classic stuff from PK.
Heat 15 was also good as Freddie held the super-fast Adams out for almost the full race only to get pipped on the line.
Ratings: PK 8 - Couldn't match Adams for pace until heat 15. David 9 - Man of the match. Quick starting, aggressive racing, intelligent overtaking. Excellent performance. Billy 6 - Early bike troubles hampered him. Magnus 2 - Another with a lack of speed. Fredrik 8 - Very impressive, rode the track very well. William 7 - Don't be fooled by his score - look who he was up against. Theo - 7 - Took a couple of races to adapt to the track but should be a high scoring reserve at Monmore.
Overall an exciting match and impressive Wolves performance against very dangerous opposition. Lee Richardson - fine fellow.
