Chinese Takeaway. House special curry, Chicken Chow Mein, Fried Rice and Chips (between two of us). Washed down with an ice cold beer. It's Friday night, no work tomorrow, I feel happy and relaxed. You just watch some b*****d go and spoil it. A young Pete Posselthwaite was taking a walk near Reading when he was chased into a nearby rubbish tip by a ferocious dog. As he hid amongst the rubble staring at the snarling bulldog, he thought "This gives me an idea for a speedway track..." and the team was born. Many years later, our very own Wolf will take a walk into that rubbish tip. Will we be mauled by the Bulldog, or will he be taking a trip to the vets? Or to put it another way, good evening and welcome to Reading v Wolves. Please post your thoughts here. Update: Stan James have Reading as 16 point favourites. What's your prediction?

I remember reading that Reading is the largest town in the UK. Interestingly, Dudley is the second largest.

Evening Wolfgang. I'm surprised about that, what about Margate?
Other EL matches tonight...
Oxford v Peterborough Coventry v Eastbourne Arena v Belle Vue (or rather Lakeside v The Arndale Centre).
Could someone keep us updated with the scores while I update the Wolves match please?

Thanks Steve, and welcome mate. I'm keeping a close eye on the speedway betting this season. One website has Arena at 1/50 to beat Belle Vue tonight. i.e. You have to stake £50 to win £1. Generous aren't they?

Major differences in some of the betting tonight.
One site has Coventry at -9 against Eastbourne, another has Coventry at -16!!

Good evening fellow Wolfettes ;D Kate has just dashed upstairs to her computer to watch the progress of a certain Polish rider this evening and I understand she will provide you with updates as the meeting progresses Fact 1 about Reading :- Jerome K. Jerome did not warm to the town on his famous journey up the Thames in Three Men in a Boat (1888): "The river is dirty and dismal here. One does not linger in the neighbourhood of Reading".

-9 looks a good bet BWitcher. Which sites are you looking at? I've found Skybet, Corals, William Hills, Stan James... any more?

Mark Loram is one of the good guys. I remember after we won the final at Eastbourne, he congratulated all of the Wolves riders and fans after the final heat despite just losing the title on the last race. Classy guy, hope he makes a full recovery.
