So, the Sparrows have got to cover 5 rides, and barring tacticals (which assumes we get far enough up!), that looks like 5 heats of 3 in a race. No doubt that will go down well with SKY.
Actually, I'm struggling to remember a meeting when both reserves were out of action by heat 4

Now that's what we need, some b****y 1st bend aggression. Nice one Freddie.

davey Watt loses his chain when he collects a bump with FREDDIE into turn 1. The referee agrees with Eastbourne when watching the tape.
Then it goes something like:
'So are you ordering a rerun?' 'No.'

So, the Sparrows have got to cover 5 rides...that looks like 5 heats of 3 in a race. Make that six heats of 3 in a race, they also have to cover an R/R. Wonder if our tactical genius will tell any of the home riders that there's only one opponent (although our "B" team have so far failed to beat a finisher!)

Yeah....
Still: it IS Eastbourne!
Heat 8 sees MAGNUS fly out of the gate and it should be an easy 5-1. He just doesn't have the speed though and DAVID has to secure the heat win as Bridger is all over the pair of them.
BILLY rides round the fast gating (and still furious) Davey Watt.
THEO keeps the invisible man in fourth.

This is embarrassing. Eastbourne have 4 riders and no reserves and we're still struggling badly. Theo and Magnus awful again tonight. David did everything to try to get Magnus round in heat 8 but as soon as Bridget drew level Magnus visibly shut off. Theo is throttling back going into the 1st bend on the Sky reruns...

Can someone give the current score? So much going on I've lost the plot!!! There is a separate results and scores thread. But after 9 heats it is 29-25 to Wolves.

Will have to watch the rerun later but unless my ears were deceiving me, which is entirely possible, then in a post race interview PK said precisely that... 'Where was the other bloke?' in his best Black Country Swedish ;D

DAVID has to secure the heat win thought that was one of the cleverest rides i've seen from David, he was quite happy to shepperd Maggie home for 3 laps, but realised if he did, bridger would probably have taken the win, and made the decision at just the right moment

I just had a sad thought, if you took any Ipswich rider, the Eastbourne #3, an old Hackney rider called Keith, one of the Wolfcubs' most illustrious juniors, and our #2, you'd have:
Witch, Watt, Weir, Hoole and Howe
I know the last one should be "why" but I'm struggling...clearly.
Lie down, Mr Knight, I'll find a doctor
