Have heard that heats 2, 8 and 13 are "Golden Double" heats - I'll post more when I know more on what this means.
Teams have been confirmed from trackside, Edinburgh win toss and take 1 and 3. Track looks good with a fair bit of dirt.
Heat 1: Howe, Karlsson, Nermark, Sneddon, 55.6. 1-5, 1-5.
Easy 5-1 to Wolves from the gate.
Heat 2: Wethers, Tully, Wilkinson, Bugeja, 57.1. 51-, 6-6.
Level gate but Tully sent Carl very wide to allow the home pair to escape. Bugeja fell on lap two while last.
Heat 3: Pijper, Lawson, Grieves, Kerr, 56.9. 5-1, 11-7.
Good battle between Will and James for second, Chris nowhere.
Heat 4: Lindgren, Parker, Wethers, Bugeja, 56.5. 3-3, 14-10.
Fredrik got further ahead as Arlo got further behind.
Heat 5: Howe, Lawson, Karlsson, Pijper, 56.4. 2-4, 16-14.
David all the way, while Will passed Magnus exiting the second bend.
Heat 6: Lindgren, Nermark, Wilkinson, Sneddon (f, rem), 56.9. 2-4, 18-18.
Freddie all the way with Einbrugh chasing until Carl went inside Sneddon on lap two, the Scot oversliding and falling but able to remount.
Heat 7 (rerun x 2): Grieves, Tully, Parker, Kerr, 57.1. 3-3, 21-21.
Stopped after Kerr fell on the first turn, with his bike sliding all over the place by itself before parking upright right next to him! James also laid down - Kerr excluded.
Kerr now NOT excluded as Wolves' pair were on the wrong gates for the initial start, so now re-run with all 4!
James all the way when things eventually got going, Chris gated but rode far too wide and was at the back by the end of lap two.
Heat 8: Karlsson, Wethers, Sneddon, Bugeja (fell), 58.0. 3-3, 24-24
Arlo fell on the second bend, while Magnus won to keep the scores level.
Heat 9: Lawson, Pijper, Lindgren, Wilkinson, 57.3. 5-1, 29-25.
Fredrik gated but did the same thing as Kerr in his last ride, and both Monarchs were through by the second lap.
Heat 10: Grieves, Nermark, Sneddon, Kerr, 58.1. 3-3, 32-28.
Kerr almost came to a halt on the first turn, while James led all the way.
Heat 11: Howe, Parker, Karlsson, Tully, 57.6. 2-4, 34-32.
David all the way, while Magnus used the outside line and was just holding off Parker until the final lap.
Heat 12: Pijper, Grieves, Wethers, Wilkinson (ret), 58.4. 4-2, 38-34.
Edinburgh gated but James used the outside to split them at the end of lap one, before enjoying a good battle with Pijper and just failing to catch him on the line. Carl retired with engine failure on lap one.
Heat 13: Lindgren, Howe, Parker, Nermark, 58.0. 1-5, 39-39.
Fredrik rode the outside with David on the inside to keep Parker back in third, and it's all level once again!
Heat 14: Lawson, Kerr, Tully, Bugeja, 59.0. 4-2, 43-41.
Chris's best ride of the night sees him up with Will all the way, but a few lifts of the front wheel see him unable to take the lead.
Heat 15: Pijper, Howe, Lindgren, Lawson, 58.3. 3-3, 46-44.
Wolves off 2 and 4 after winning the toss. Pijper all the way despite David trying his hardest.
As for the Golden Double heats, I can only assume the score was too close throughout to use them.
Thanks for watching!
