All from the gate. Track slick. And it's raining.
Flier from Klindt in 7 - Stevebrum surprised it wasn't brought back. DAVID passes Louis. Johnno usual Monmore form.

Well, given his last couple of scores, one would be tempted to hope that this is a tie-winning performance from Christian Hefenbrock. Nice comeback!

Although we do still have the Steve Johnston Benefit Heat 14 to come, so I must not count my speedway-related chickens

If only they still counted aggregate scores we'd be through. When's the replay?

Good race heat 13. Witches on a 5-1 until lap 2 fourth turn when DAVID dives under hampel and takes him wide enough for FREDDIE to come through for third.
Heat 14 clinches it. And the rain has hit Monmore. It's bucketing down.

Interesting (lack of) tactics by the Ipswich team manager in heats 13 and 14, when the tie was still there to be saved. A TR for Miskowiak could have made 14 an interesting race. Anyway, all over now, and well done to the thread creator for being so optimistic. Hoorah!
