Despite TNT having started a thread which shows the scorers from this match, I'll post the report with the heading as it should be.
I was most surprised that no one opened a link to the updates on here last night, which were supplied by a combination of myself and Sandking - just shows how much the posters on here have lost interest in the team.
This meeting saw someting that I have never seen before - and hope I never see again - on a speedway track in 42 years of following the sport.
The riders had been struggling with a rough spot on the second bend which saw approximately 20 minutes of grading after Heat 7 to try and rectify the problem. Try as they might the track staff couldn't sort it out fully so the decision was made to mark this particular spot out with the chalk that they use to mark the start line. I presume that this was to ensure the riders knew where it was if they wanted to avoid it, but it was very strange.
The racing wasn't too bad compared to what it has been in the past at Arena but most of the passing was the home riders on ours when ours made the gate !!
The victory for Lakeside was easier than the scoreline would suggest and we certainly got out of jail by scoring a point due to the efforts of our Super Swedes.
Freddie - did everything expected of him - totally missed the gate in heat 1 and battled through well for 2nd, Ljung rode a line no one else went near in beating Fred in his third ride. Awesome last two rides with PK to get us a point 4.5/5
Ludvig - totally off the pace and didn't look happy on the track 0/5
Ty - Another nightmare night when he wasn't on the pace - lets hope the arrival of his new engines provide the answer 0.5/5
Tai - Still didn't look comfortable on the bike. Unlucky to hit the sticky patch on the track in his second ride when leading and won an important race in heat 14 to keep us in with a chance of stealing a point. 3/5
PK - what can you say !! Absolutely Awsome !! Easily Man of the Match !! I was proud to be there to see him score this Max - and silence the many doubters on here who thought that he might be over the top and was a risky signing. Ye of little faith. 5/5
Tyson - always in the thick of it and didn't score the points he deserved - extremely unlucky to hit the sticky patch after gating in front in heat 2. Troubled Davidsson - no slouch around Arena - for 2 laps in his third ride. Despite scoring zero his efforts deserve 2/5
Ricky - started well but struggled later on the meeting. Despite this did all that was expected and more 3/5
