Thanks for setting up the thread, Martin! Hopefully, this meeting will not fall victim to the weather. We might be 16 points up; it's more likely to be four PINTS down! Is anyone else planning on joining the Wolfcry party this evening? UTW

Yes cheers Martin and hello everyone. I'll follow this with interest as it should be a good match.
I was thinking today, I've got some really good memories of watching the Wolves at Kings Lynn. We didn't seem to win very often but it was always eventful. Anyone remember any of the following...
The coach breaking down in 1985 and fans drawing lots for the empty seats on the 2nd coach (we took 2 coaches everywhere in those days). Then Ego drove the replacement coach to KL breaking the speed record to get there for heat 3.
Mike Bennett giving Andy Lockett the mic for a Wolves warcry which he promptly spelt wrong. He missed the V out.
Emerson Fairweather.
Boffy yelling "FREAK!" at Steve Regeling on the victory parade. Even Regeling laughed.
Wayne Carter stopping by the Wolves fans every time he won a junior race to ask us if he'd broken the track record.
Esky punching Einar Kyllingstad... and missing in cartoon comedy style.
Finding out where Ego went with the coach after he'd dropped everyone off.
Arriving to find Sam wasn't riding... and we had Peter Boast instead..
The Zetor Cup - leaving Wolves in t shirts and shorts on a beautiful day and finding arctic weather at KL.
Sam's ultimate team riding with Stekkers, pointing where he wanted Jan to ride.
Sam always trying to kill Richard knight (for no apparent reason)
Jonah's fantastic heat win in 1991 when we had to win to keep the title campaign going. He passed all 3 riders on the 3rd bend.
That's pretty good for one away track. Any more?

Can add a Pride of the East meeting, around 92. Arrived to see Sam... but replaced by Dukie (ok not as bad as Peter Boast).
And at same meeting, a puncture in the car park that Ronnie Correy helped out with!
Walking the track with James Grieves (travelled down with him) prior to the match, probing the track with my foot.. as the riders do. Asked Grievesy why they did it.. he said "I don't know, everyone else does it so I just copy!"
Also, on that track walk, its amazing how many stones, literally meaning stones there are in the Kings Lynn track. Chris Holder mentioned recently in a Sky meet there too, saying how bruised he was going to be after a race.

Well done Ricky Wells. Wouldn't have thought it was his sort of track but he's doing much better now by the looks of his scores.
