I would like to watch this sky sports match with a pint in my hand. Therefore I have popped into both The Hogshead and The Clarendon to ask if they would be showing the match. The Hogshead said they would put it on the stage screen but without sound with the rest of the screens showing Villa v Sunderland. The Clarendon said it is usually a democratic decision, but Monday is normally a quiet night and they had the speedway on last week, so it should be okay. Therefore, that's where I'm heading. So if anyone else comes in to watch and they change their minds, don't blame me!

Thankfully I don't work Mondays as I look after my 3 year old during the day and that enables me to then get to Monmore on well in time for the gates to open. So Monday I will be meeting up and four of us are travelling down together and hopefully see some more points added to the tally already gathered which keeps us top.
Swindon are level on points but Wolves actually have a better score difference than the Robins and if they fail to get anything in their next away trip, they will be playing catch up.
Most pubs I know can put Sky on in different rooms and for the Swindon v Wolves play off final, one of them put it on a large screen in the lounge and a number of us watched it rhere giving them our trade. ...... As for the football .... C'Mon the Makem's !!

59-31, a fabulous result from a very good Wolves team.
Has to be said though, Coventry look a shambles.

Well that was an interesting night in many ways !!
Not since the days of Hans Nielsen fighting a lone battle for the Wolves have I seen such a dominant performance from the visiting team and a pathetic showing from the home team.
What Bees would pay now for a rider like Nielsen to wear the #1 race jacket as they had nothing and to finish a meeting on your own track and have a reserve top score with 6+1 is embarrasing.
It's a good job Bees bought in Oliver Allen and Stuart Robson as they top scored with 12 between them while Zengota gave a decent showing with 6 also but these are second strings and with two good heat leaders, their showings would be acceptable..
Scott Nicholls was possibly better than his score suggests as he did have some good battles but lost out each time. Maybe the Scott of old has lost his edge, but the rest of the Bees were shameful.
Yes Summers got a heat win, but that was a shock and his other four rides were poor while KK had that one ride with Summers but was nowhere in his others before retiring twice ..... giving up. Szczepaniak could have had seven rides and still wouldn't have scored.
For Wolves, Tai and Freddie were never really touched .... Ty only beaten by a good battle from Scott and Ludvig yet again impressive with his only defeat at the hands of Allen while Jacob did better than his score suggests and it was great to see him get that race win while Adam was off a bit but his double pass with Ricky over Scott was a pinch of what he can be.
Two 5-1's and a 4-2 were all Coventry could celebrate .... (all three heats having Adam out for Wolves) .... so they sctually scored 17 points in the other 12 heats !!!
Coventry were embarrassing ..... Wolves were brilliant and now FOUR points clear at the top of the table ...... But the road is long and so far we have mainly faced the teams unlikely to be involved in the play offs but lets enjoy it while we are sitting proud.
