It looks like the Away travel might not be running to Peterborough away next Monday decision Saturday. If it doesn't run is there anybody going who I could get a lift from I would be willing to contribute to the petrol. So frustrating when it looked good for the coach to run but we will see. Just covering my options.

Meeting postponed ;
Peterbro have called it off due to them having no facility for their missing No.1 Bjerre..... Wolves unfortunately can not be in the right place at the right time.....

RIP The EL - it is is finished.
Belle Vue, Poole and now Peterboro have taken the pee out of it by calling off meetings because they can't raise a competitive team.
I recall Wolves having to go to The Showground with Henning Bager at number one due to unavailability of riders - how things have changed.
Andersen and Kildemand missed a meeting for Swindon to be in Denmark and cost them a home victory.
Time to form a league without the prima donnas - let's have a bigger league at a lower grade.
No point in suggesting a super league on one night a week anymore now Denmark appear to ride on Mondays.

Whilst agreeing with the general context of what you are saying Wolfie, I do have some sympathy for Peterboro here. The fixture was switched to this date for TV purposes under the proviso of them being granted a facility for Bjerre. Bjerre can't really be blamed for having a meeting booked on a free date in his diary.
The sensible solution here is simply to move it back onto its original date I would have thought.
It's not quite the same as the Poole issue who simply blatantly postponed a meeting because they couldn't get their own way.

IF the meeting was switched to Monday so SKY can film it, then they should be given a Guest rider.
Surely both teams have agreed this date ..... If so then why have P'boro only now realised they have no #1 that day ? ..... Where is he riding elsewhere ?
Going back a few years, through no fault of their own, Mikael and Magnus Karlsson were delayed getting back into Britain for the home match with Eastbourne. We tracked two 3.00 riders instead and lost ..... will be interesting to see if this cancellation was agreed by the powers to be and if so .... Why ?

You seem very behind the times TNT. 1: They can't just be given a guest because its on SKY. The rules say no guest, they have to be stuck too. The issue has arose because a member of the management committee told Panthers they could use a guest for Bjerre. Based on this they agreed to the date for TV purposes. It is only now they have been told they can't use one. Quite understandably they're not willing to race the meeting now. It's a BSPA MC cock up. 2: A precedent for this has been set by Poole last week when they called of their match against Lakeside because they were missing 1 rider (Pawlicki). No action was taken. 3. Belle Vue were fined 5K for calling of their meeting due to 2 of their riders having their flight cancelled (similar to the Wolves situation). Quite rightly they were punished, however, I see no way that punishment can now stand upon appeal. So basically, based upon the Poole call off, no further action will be taken... I would say its the only one of the 3 recent incidents where that would be the correct course of action.

There are meetings coming up now where we could be without Tai and Ty. Are we saying it will be ok to see what guests are available and if the one's that are free are not worthy replacements and threaten our ability to win the match then lets call it off?
Are we heading to the point where clubs only run home matches they think they can win?
