For some reason I've been having the same problem as others have reported in signing in to the forum. I can login but as soon as I choose a topic to read the site logs me straight out again and therefore I'm unable to post. This has only happened to me since having Windows XP reinstalled.
I suspect the problem lies in the security settings in Internet Explorer but have so far been unable to pinpoint it. The solution that works for me however is to click the login link at the top of the page - the one that takes you to the login page rather than simply entering your username and password at the top of the main page. From this login screen tick the box which says "Always keep me logged in". This gets around the problem for me... hope it works for others too.
Cheers, Mark Rowe.

I've found mention of this on the proboards help forum tonight and the official answer is as I found to tick the "always stay logged in" box. Nobody can really explain why it affects some people and not others with the same settings...
