Updates are on the main British Speedway Updates site (link below). Thought, like Monday we can at least have a chat thread so we can gloat / suffer together. Somehow David has got the #5 race jacket back, despite Jesper being a former Witch. I predict - 52 - 40 Ipswich (Freddie 12, Neils 10, Jesper 6, Nic 6, David 3, Kenny 3, Ales 0). Please post away the usual nonsense. I'm off to work now, but I should be able to join in by about heat 3! speedwayupdates.proboards60.com/index.cgi?board=Ipswich&action=display&thread=2980

Looks like a 3, possibly 4 man team, after 5 races. Hoping some of those who shouldn't still be in the side (there's three of them, BTW) start chipping in with some points. Running them close is not going to get us anywhere

19-17 down after 6, but 3 riders haven't scored, yet we have 5 heat winners. If we lose this it is an obvious sign where the weak links are that should have been replaced months ago.
Meantime, great show by the rest and I really do hope Ales, David and Kenny can get something together.

yes, nice to see the third heat leaders role is being fully utilised at this moment
and is it me or are the 2 heats we have conceded a heat advantage have one common factor?

If we are not going to swing the axe, may as well switch David and Ales in the order. David might get a psychological boost being back at 2, plus he has inside gates in heat 1 and his easier ride is his 3rd, not his 4th ride (the win in heat 8 can give confidence to get points in heat 10/11). There is no point keeping them at their existing numbers if they are going to get 0 points between them.

I agree with your tactical suggestion, but I prefer the axe idea.

An away win for Ales!
And Kenny chips in with a paid win too.
Which leaves just one clown not to have scored now. And this on one of his better away tracks.
I guess this is the only way that Howe can be considered for next year, if he rattles of a load of 0's and 1's in the remaining away matches he may get a low enough average.

Wow two 5-1s with the tactical genius having Nic break the tapes in heat 8 so we can get Kenny in. We are in the bloody lead! 6 races to go, our top three all on song, our reserves and even Ales chipping in. Even 3 points from David in his last two rides could tip the scales.

Iversen wins heat 1o with Howe last, so at least we are 4 up still. Might be worth using a reserve for David in his 4th ride.
