Tonight's results will be brought fresh from the TV screen courtesy of Mr Murdoch's global empire.

Let's hope for a good meeting, lots of exciting racing

and a 50 point margin victory for the WOLVES!

Cracking heat 1. KP gates and leads for 3 laps with Pedersen second. FREDDIE drives under both on turn 1 of lap 3 and we are on a 5-1...... then KP slides off on lap 4.

Heat 2 from the gate and although Suchanek gated well, he was last 20 yards later.

Heat 3 from the gate again, we are 5 yards slower out the starts. Sullivan looks poor but Johnno worse.

Heat 4 and Hancock gates superbly. For a lap we are on a 5-1 but credit to Eddie Kennett who races RONNIE for four laps and gets second. Kasprzak nowhere.

Heat 5 David looks excellent and wins easily. Johnno doesn't.

Heat 6 FREDDIE passes Kasprzak out of turn 2 and wins by a street. KP stops on the back straight.

Evening "8", I'd hoped to be there but transportation problems mean you have an extra spectator on line tonight. Looks very close at the moment - hoping that we'll pull away later. Kennet proving a bit of a surprise.

Heat 7 is a good one as MAGNUS rides a superb turn one and Hancock rides around the Pirates over two laps. Lindback rolling at the start again.

Ipswich 18 12 up at Coventry!

Great ride from RONNIE in 8. KP trails off on bike 2.

Super speedway in 9. Kasprzak gates and looks away but JOHNNO draws inspiration from somewhere to ride around him. David and KK pass and repass each other but DAVID rides the cleverer last lap and it is a 5-1.

Heat 10 looks like a 1-5 as the Pirates gate. But while Lindback has an engine, Sullivan gets his feet caught in the pedals and the Wolves riders pass at will.

Sounds like things are better. Can Johnno keep it going.

Meanwhile, having given up on getting there, I've now switched equipment from Red Bag to Banks's Can.

Johnno looked a junior in his first two, a world beater in his third. Funny old game.

Sullivan has withdrawn from the meeting feeling unwell. Middlo looks less than fully sympathetic. Lindback replaces him on a 15 metre TR but doesn't get close.

Hmmm, is this the first recorded case of post-GPitis? ;D

Kennett on a TR in 14. Wolves are 1 point up for the bonus.


DAVID wins easily but with Kennett second on a TR MAGNUS is passed on the last turn by Lindback.

Heat 15 to go and we need a heat advantage for the bonus point.

How's Magnus looked tonight - I think I'd have given Ronnie the nod for heat 14.

Freddie and Hancock on 1 and 3, Pedersen and Lindback for Poole.

Super gating from our lads and credit to FREDDIE who rode such a clever race to leave Pedersen with too much to do.

Lindback looked poor at the back.

Lots of comments on SKY tonight about Hancock for Wolves in 2006. Just talk?

Great performance from Wolves tonight after it looked far from certain early on.

Thanks for the updates, 8. (Upd8's?). I chose to stay on-line rather than get there for the last 3 heats - the Live Updates soften the blow, somewhat.
