2 Semi-Finals and a winner takes all Final just as last year and as the GP's are now.

Cheers for that TNT - I see the qualifying races we're watching now will probably be as meaningless as ever.

The meeting format is 20 heats then the top 4 scorers into the final. THERE ARE NO SEMI FINALS.
That's from the guys in the stadium with the programmes!

Interesting they have changed it, Bjerre scored just 8 last year but finished 2nd after winning the Semi and then behind Miskowiak in the final.
Hope Freddie keeps it up then

I've spoken to 3 different fans at the track. They are all in agreement that this is the wettest and most dangerous track they have ever seen a meeting go ahead on. It's been described as diabolical, awful, madness and appalling. There is so much surface water that riders are just aquaplaning. In heat 5 Davidsson lost control off the last bend and crossed the line in 3rd place but off his bike! Hence the confusion over the result but I can confirm that he was excluded. Heat 8 Freddie gated and rode the track very confidently... until the last bend when he went so wide and JUST stayed on to win. Heat 9 was chaos - King got in terrible trouble with the track and had to retire. Hlib led, his chainguard came off and almost hit Kasprzak, then Hlib's bike lost power and he put his hand up to stop... then it got going again and he still won. One of the texts suggests that referee Tony Steele should "have his b**** cut off for letting this meeting continue" I just hope everyone survives without serious injury.

I'm aware that the Polish site have given the heat 9 win to Kasprzak over Hlib but 2 separate fans at the track say that Hlib won it so I'm going with that...
