Nearly over at reading . cov look like they got the points with 2 to go. Charlie had a good battle before losing it on the cov track... i mean reading in heat 13.Cov could be contenders this year. Sam chatted about what he does at reading, sophie never asked what he does.

Had a feeling this might happen tonight. As last week, Poole gated better and on a slick track we were second best all night: PK and Billy excepted.
Early days but if KP, Magnus, and the reserves are going to struggle to score 10 points between them it puts too much pressure on the top three.
Anyway, thanks to the piephone and MM2 for phoning through the results.
Speak to you soon, goodnight!

Hi to the few of you that made it onto the Updates tonight. Thanks '8' for relaying the bad news.
In fact I am not as discouraged as some. I see quite a few positives from tonight's meeting. William Lawson impressed me greatly and he sealed a good night's work by beating Walasek easily - and you wouldn't have put money on that! PK was at his Monmore best and only dropped the single point because there was not sufficient grip on the track for him to make the pass in heat 6. Fantastic to see him in Wolves colours again and making those trademark 'Animal' passes. Billy Hamill also had a couple of excellent races but was then left wondering where the dirt went in his last two. Christian made some good starts and challenges in the first laps but just needs to learn the lines a little more. Freddie seemed to trip himself up in his first race and was a bit quiet after that. I think this will be the lowest score we see from him at the Green this season - and it is the right night for it. Slightly more worrying were Magnus and Krzysztof who were both off the pace and Magnus seemed to tire quickly in his races. However, I have seen them both have very good rides in the matches last week so let's put it down to winter cobwebs.
Now I'm going to go and warm up a bit.
