Just heard from trackside: cold but teams go as advertised. For those who know him, Steve Shovlar has wandered over and made his excuses - 'Poole will just be trying out different set-ups'.
Mmmm.
Track looks smooth, possibly slicken up later on.

Hi Steve.
Heat 2 from the gate again. William looked fine, Christian hanging on for third.
Heat 3 Freddie takes all wide on turn one, stops dead and pulls onto the centre green with possibly a chain problem. Magnus pushed hard for second.

Evening all. Bit late tonight (the perils of a 7 hour time difference). Nice avatar "8". "Now, care to wash your hands? No thankee, ma'am, I just done that up against a tree"

Lightning start from Kasprzak in 4 and Christian drops off when third.
It gets worse in 5 when Boyce pushes Freddie wide and Pedersen hits the gap.
PK on a TR in 6.

reading track looks a lot like telford ice rink. prob more dirt at telford. Graders pull little dirt from the fence. may as well use a garden rake

Another flier from KK in 6. PK tries everything but there is little dirt and 5-3 is what we settle for.
BILLY has agreat ride in 7 as the Poole pair again give us a lesson in gating. He keeps it wound on and passes Lindback on turn 4. William Lawson pushes for third: a promising start from the lad.
