Reminds me of the last time Zagar was at the Green, riding for Trelawny. He can be a dirty b*gg*r at times Looked a class act, reminded me of a very young Hans Nielsen, yes- that good. But he has lost some credibility tonight. [/quote Looked like NP in training to me And how on earth did that "man" with the pink trainers have the gall to defend him? Oh, i forgot................he defends NP's every move too!

Thanks very much '8' for operating the keyboard for last night's updates.
The ref, Margaret Vardy, got a reasonable press on here but in actual fact she made two major mistakes in not switching on the red lights when riders were on the track. In one of those incidents a track marshall had to take matters into his own hands and wave a red flag at the riders before the red lights were turned on. Pk was screaming round the track towards the fallen McGowan and would have wiped him out without the marshall's actions. The second time she did this was in the rerun of heat 15 when PK spun in the first turn and Billy had to take severe avoiding action and come to a standstill. Once again the lights did not come on and Hancock was allowed to continue for the rest of the lap and was on the home straight before the race was stopped and PK was excluded.
And then there was Zagar. I understand what '8' was saying about how well he has ridden in the PL but I have seen him ride twice and both times he has blatantly fenced a rider along the Monmore Green back straight. That's enough for me!

Is this the same lady ref who whilst having her "test" at Monmore last year made a glaring mistake in excluding the wrong rider?? If it wasn't for the quick thinking track staff on 3rd/4th bend it could have been VERY nasty, I would hope the BSPA or whoever it is nowadays will ask questions of WHY it took so long on two occasions for the red lights to come on. Lack of concentration?
