Evening all, and what a lovely evening it is too. The gently swaying cherry blossom tree in the late afternoon sun, the distant call of geese as they fly in formation back to the lake, the mixed fragrance of thyme, sage and freshly cut grass wafting in through the window from the garden. The sound of cricket being played on the village green. Sounds idyllic, doesn't it? I wonder where it is. Anyway, feel free to enter into the holiday spirit by barbecuing some sausages (burned on the outside, frozen in the middle), spilling beer all over the decking and choking on the wood burner. Oh, and there's some speedway taking place oop north.

Here tonight on what should be an east win
Really only Screeny and Adam should test our top three. Got to win matches like this if we have any play-off hopes.

This wont be easy. Doolan is capable of being all our riders. No time for complacency, like on monday.

So is "Our Gary's got a mortgage you know" riding? Not heard anything yet, perhaps they've been delayed by the inevitable argument outside the restaurant, you know, who had two naans, who didn't have a starter etc. Oh, there's the phone now.... No announcement yet about the Aces' number 1. The track looks ok, watered and some dirt on the outside. They have lavished a fortune on stadium improvements since last time (they've painted some of the pits black and red - or green, I don't know).
