Hi Folks,
I'll be updating the results tonight as Mr 8 leads the cheering on this thread. He's the Kelvin to my Jonathon, or the Porky to my Peter Morrish. So if there's a yabba dabba, ya know what that means dow ya?

Meeting delayed until 8pm as the track is "very wet indeed" according to Kelvin. In other words its thick slush.

Yet another SKY issue - a meeting that sounds like it would have been called off long ago, and saved whatever crowd has turned up the debacle (especially given Swindon's team) - goes ahead to please the TV cameras. Thank G for SKY

The track looks absolutely awful. There are big ruts and holes where the water has run down the track. We've had very heavy rain on and off for about 5 days. This meeting would have been called off mid afternoon but for Sky. The weather is nice and sunny now but its anyone's guess whether it can dry out in time to have any "racing".
On the plus side, we get an extra half hour of Kelvin and Jonathon's in depth analysis and previews of the GP. Apparently the next one is in a place called Cardiff.

The weather at Monmore is now glorious but as Mr X says, it is very wet. I can't listen to these two for half an hour - Oscar Wilde it aint.

Sawdust anyone? Do they even do that anymore? No thanks, I've just had me tea. I couldn't eat another thing.

I guess that there will be no racing tonight, first out of the gate wins! Not a good advert for speedway yet again. Sky just want a meeting what ever the cost to speedway, glad I stayed at home. Who are the best gaters? I guess that will descide the winners.

They've just interviewed David Howe who politely said that he'd rather ride against a full strength team on a dry track than hope to take advantage on a track that isn't really raceable. He said if anyone can sort it out then Doc Bridgett can but thought it was simply too wet.
