17 points plus bonuses for the Coventry reserves.
Some might see the result as not being as bad as it could have been but interest will continue to wane as we seem to be content with what we have got. The trouble is other teams caught up a long time ago and have left us behind.
Many thanks to Pieman for the calls and the diehard company.
Remember when live updates used to be fun?

So, Magnus runs more last places than the whole of the Coventry team - wow.
Not a bad result considering, but I don't want to be considering, I want it to be impossible for me to even contemplate not doing the 100 mile round trip. I want my enthusiasm whetting.
Can't blame the riders, I never could, so it must be the management.
Well done Cov, maybe not the best 1-7 in the league, but they seem to be a tight unit and all hitting form at the right time.

One last thought. Maybe the answer to the Magnus thing isn't at Wolves but at Redcar in 2008???
Thanks 8.

Poor Mr Eye - standing on the Wolfcry 'block' all on his own. I did pop out now and again to try to cheer him up and raise his enthusiasm but sadly failed. The highlight of my evening was being 4 numbers away from the second prize in the raffle, oh and I had a very nice hot chocolate.

Right up the Karlsson corridor, methinks. I know his time is nearly up, but that's a little harsh. Replace him by all means, but there's no need for physical abuse!

I get very possessive about the 'Wolfcry Block'!!!! but thankyou for talking to me Two of the most bizzare events i have seen at speedway tonight.Firstly heat 11 bloody crazy and secondly a certain Wolves rider getting 4 rides...how the hell is he keeping his place. What was the point in sending Tai and Joe out for a few heats after....prep for the U18's why bother.....the club could save some airfare over the next few weeks, nothing to lose in chucking in one of these boys....oh forgot one of 'our'riders doesn't ride for us.....now that's a third bizarre Poor Mr Eye - standing on the Wolfcry 'block' all on his own. I did pop out now and again to try to cheer him up and raise his enthusiasm but sadly failed. The ref is on a roll. Heat 12 (PK in as RR) sees JAMES try to pass Harris and clips his back wheel. James straightens and then slews into the fence. He is still down. harris comes off on the next turn. So You are the ref: what do you do? is it a) rerun heat 11 again b) exclude JAMES as the primary cause of the stoppage c) exclude Harris as a means of creating some interest. Not quite sure where this version of the events came from Mr 8!! In Heat 11 going down the back straight JAMES was in 2nd, about half a bike length behind Janniro, who in turn was inside and slightly behind PK. Harris came hurtling down the inside and tried a kamikaze dive into the 3rd turn, turning left across the front of James as he did it, wiping out his front wheel. There was no doubt who was to be excluded, even the less than savory Bees fans all around us admitted so. However, we faced an eternal wait before the INEPT referee made up his mind. About the ONLY thing he got right all night. He should be struck of the referees list for his ineptness. In the Lawson/Johnston incident, The incident occured entered turn 1. He stopped the race as the riders were crossing the finish line! If Lawson was to be excluded, he should have stopped the race immediately?? And then to order a re-run was the most pathetic decision in the history of speedway. Heat 8, Schlein slid of after he gated last.. all 4 back. Pathetic decision. Blatant cheating from Smolinski who laid it down all on his own and then pretended to fight the heavy, heavy bike whilst lying in the middle of the track. As soon as the red lights came on he suddenly made a herculean effort to lift the bike. If ever there was a case to award a race because of blatant cheating then this was it. Then as was said earlier, Nicholls turned left from the gate in Heat 13, meaning PK could not even turn into the corner. Unsatisfactory start? Don't be daft. There was only one thing worse than the referee tonight and that was bloody MAGNUS KARLSSON. Why oh why do we even bother? Just send him home now. Sign Joe Haines and put him in his place, it doesn't matter now.

Pieman reported as he saw the incident - but he emphasised he didn't have a perfect view of the incident.
My perspective was even further obscured!
